“Malaking dagdag din sa ating gobyerno 'yan. Biro mo, 'pag mataas ;yan, makadagdag ng P60 to P70 billion a year (It will be a big addition to government funds. Imagine, it can increase it by P60 to 70 billion a year),” Pacquiao told reporters on Tuesday, October 10.

Even if the cigarette tax be P100 per pack, it won't stop the smokers
from burning their lungs.
It's an addiction that many tried to stop but many have failed.
Smokers can withstand hunger but not without puffing their fave Marlboro.
It's cigarette to smokers what bible is to Packyman.

There's no problem if these taxes relate to economic growth. The Philippines is one of the countries that taxes its people severely, they pay the highest taxes among ASEAN countries, but despite of these, PH economy is continue to sink deeper, while PH president and the attack dogs sleeps well and feast on people's money. They're taking their sweet time in the gov't office, they were rehydrating, fentanylizing and oxygenating their pockets. And btw what happened to Packyman's P2.2-B tax case? Is it just disappeared in a puff of smoke under Poodut's admin?

I would agree the PH need to reform their taxes and eliminate corruptions.

Corruptions in the Philippines is way too high.
