no offense meant, but the claim of the TS is partly true. many companies, including professionals like doctors and lawyers are tax evaders.

agree bro! How many doctors lawyers, etc... are issuing receipts? aren't they required by BIR to issue but how many did? were any professional practitioner been charged of tax evasion? Hirap nito, if you accuse a lawyer no lawyer will lawyer you, hehehe.

It's not a case of tax evasion yet, it's only a contempt. Means Pacman was so late in submitting his tax declaration. This should be blamed on the hands of his lawyers and accountants.

oh really...if i fail to submit my tax returns i should blame my accountant???

and he has even forgiven them for robbing him blind. Now that the BIR is trying to do the same he complains? It's not fair...

This begs the question of why, despite already paying the highest personal income tax in the country, Pacquiao is being treated as a tax evader by the BIR through highly publicized imputations of wrong-doing? One would think that his case would at least be treated with some discretion by the BIR, not only because he is a public official and an acknowledged representative of the Philippines to the rest of the world, but simply because he had always done his duty to pay taxes.

Whether you like him or not, Pacquiao has contributed so much to our country, not the least of which is his astronomical tax payments. Compare that to Lucio Tan who is not even among the Top 100 taxpayers in the country, and one cannot help but wonder why Pacquiao is being treated with such disrespect.

Amen to this. What a pity this country has become. This simple site reflects how separated our views are. If Manny is the highest tax payer, what happened to those who have been listed in the Forbes? Just a thought...

This is all messed up. Corona who is obviously corrupt should not be impeached and Manny is right in voting "NO" for impeachment ?
Then you Filipinos complain that the government is corrupt. What the hell, the government is at least trying to impeach and clean the corrupt
officials. Just because of Manny Pacquaio, every citizen now has the right not to submit their income & documents
and not pay taxes? How can a country operate without taxes and money. Poor Philippines. It is indeed going to the dogs because
of ignorant pachuggers.

I don't agree Pnoy selective justice system. Pnoy should investigate also his KKK and other corrupt official. who is supporting PNOY DAAN MATUWID..my ASSSSSSS .......... CJ Corona was right about rejecting the truth commission for being unconstitutional because it is only against GMA. kung talagang seryoso si Panut sa kanya corruption campaign dapat walang pinili pati mga KKK niya at sa mga nag balimbing, isama niya investigation.

NO TO SELECTIVE JUSTICE SYSTEM... YAN BA ANG DAAN MATUWID :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
