Manny Pacquiao Uses Prize Money From Bradley Bout to Help Filipino Flood Victims

Manny Pacquiao : "I have dedicated my life to spreading the lessons of the Bible."

http://global.christianpost.com/news/ma ... ims-76846/

41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.
43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

- Mark 12:41-44

pacquiao could have missed the lessons learned from the parable of the widow's offering :biglaugh:

So, you think you are Caiaphas now?

You're finding faults to the only one doing good deeds for your own kind.

Nice try. :D

After all these years TS is still here in all his brilliant ignorance. Since you like to quote scripture I think you should re-familiarize yourself with Matthew 7.

1  Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2  For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3  And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4  Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5  Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

TS, if the KJV is too olde English for you then the NIV should help.

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
2  For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3  "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
5  You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

pacquiao may have given his wealth, but still kept plenty for himself, thus he have only given very little to be worthy of praise :biglaugh:

This maybe true, but remember El Crits there are many people in the country who are much richer than Pacquiao, can we also say that they contributed at least a part of their wealth's surplus?

In - Mark 12:41-44 Jesus just stated that the poor woman contributed more than any one else because others only gave surplus of their wealth and she gave all that she had. There is no commandment here that all the rich people will give all their wealth otherwise all rich Christians
would have became beggars.

Pacman should still be praised because in today's standard it is very hard for most rich people to give part of their wealth may it be surplus or not.

Mark 12:41-44 is not about donation to the poor but about church offerings.
