There is no doubt that FR is one of the all time great boxing trainers. I don't think Pacman will ascend without him.

But sad to say, Parkinson's is now catching up with Freddie.. Definitely, his effectiveness is significantly decreased because of the disease.

I don't think Pacquiao already reached his plateau with respect to his learning/ improvement potential in his boxing career. He still has 2 to 3 years more to dominate boxing; well, granting that he will focus all his energy in his training and not be distracted by his other obligations.

So Freddie Roach is this the greatest Trainer of all time

VB you are missing one factor here. A trainer can only train but if trains a boxer that does not produce output during fight, he won't win. the one on top you said about Bobby Pacquiao. I don't see Bobby have the skill of his brother so even though he trains Bobby P. at some he will lose because he does not have the skills. Oscar for exampls, he gave up his jabs and didn't listen. He could win since that was a split decision.

I have the same question like the question about the argument with the compubox numbers. Why do we always look for a perfect man which it is impossible. Its basic! "no body is perfect" There is no such thing as an ideal person.

It is also similar to being an ATG is not always having a perfect record.

Lazy? I don't think he is Lazy. He is maybe one of the hard working coach there is. Despite his illnes he is still able to give Pacquiao a great training.

While I disagree with TS's opinion, I do feel Pac and Freddie have hit their ceiling as far as improvement goes. Roach is regarded as one of the best trainers of all time but he can only teach so much and Manny can only learn so much.

Sir "Lifer" ..you think Freddie Roach is one of the best trainer of all time..right?..now answer it..if Pacman is not a Boxer who is his Number 1 pupil now?...Julio Cesar Chavez?..soon he will be an ex-Champ after Maravilla will destroy him...Sir..kindly read this ...

Read this write-up:
“That's the reason why I don't watch news,” Diaz would say upon hearing of Roach's bold proclamations. “Thats the reason why I don't read stuff. Because I don't want to know. And if I know, it doesn't bother me. I know what I got and I know in what shape Timothy is. What mentality he is in. They can talk all they want. I don't care. At the end of the day, Freddie's not going to be in the ring fighting Bradley; it’s going to be Pacquiao.”

And while Ricky Hatton may have once been considered the number one junior welterweight on the block, Diaz insists he was past his peak and out of true fighting shape by the time Pacquiao got to him.

“Yeah, he did knock out Ricky Hatton, but come on, it’s Ricky Hatton,” Diaz stated. “After Mayweather knocked him out, Ricky Hatton was no longer the same. This guy blows up to 180, 190 pounds and then he makes 140; he loses everything on the scale. In order for you to get knocked out the way Manny Pacquiao knocked out Ricky Hatton, you’ve got to be hydrated. Because, if you’re hydrated, you will knock get knocked out like that. You can tell that knock out had a lot to do with hydration.”

Never one to typically talk trash or belittle anyone, Diaz still felt the need to continue returning fire.

“I respect every person, every trainer, that dedicates time to a fighter. But personally, myself, I feel he’s been an overrated trainer,” Diaz would say of Roach. “There’s only so much he can do. I just think that if Manny Pacquiao had landed in the United States with any other trainer, he would have made another trainer famous. Because it was Manny Pacquiao who made Freddie Roach famous, not Freddie Roach [who] made Manny Pacquiao famous.”........God Bless

Sir Mekalengut...mangulangut ka muna and ..don't call Mr. Crush ng Bayan, "mayabang"..why kampi ka sa American than a fellow Filipino Paclander...read this so you won't call us mayabang.....

Mr.Roach emphasized always the "PUNCHING POWER" of Pacman.and.he always gave predictions..Cotto in 2nd round, Pac/Jmm 2&3..in 6 and 8 rounds and a knockout in 4 rounds win of Pacman over Bradley...

We don't discredit Freedie Roach but he is not good..but just below average trainer..here are our proofs

Fighters who Lost under the Guardianship of Freddie Roach

English †Amir Khan Light Welterweight ..lost to Lamont Paterson
Filipino Manny Paquiao Welterweight...lost to Tim Bradley
Filipino Bernabe Concepcion Featherweight ..Lost to Puertorican

Filipino Rey Bautista Featherweight ..lost to mexican Deleon
Filipino Z Gorres Super Flywei ..lost to mexican
Mexican Jorge Laniera..Lost his crown last month
Mexican Julio Cesarb Chavez Middleweight champ..soon be Ex- Champ after Sergio martinez beats Him

So Freddie Roach is the greatest Trainer of all time..Right?

Sir...here is the tissue ..use this when you "pick" your nose...God Bless..
