assuming the fight will still happen next year, floyd manny will no longer surpass floyd oscar.

the fight is no longer competitive
both are past their primes
a lot of fans are no longer interested or have lost their interest
even investors are no longer interested
US economy is in bad shape.

it might not even surpass floyd cotto.
sad but true.

I am not sure if there are people here who are not interested to see Pacquiao-Mayweather still.

I think it will still do good PPV numbers but yes, clearly this wouldn't be the same fight it would have been in 2010.

I would have to agree with the TS on this one....

WHile it will still be over 1 MILLION PPV buys....

Most recognize both boxers are diminished and on their downside...

PPV Buyers won't be purchasing a Great Fight but just a Couple of Big Names who are not at their Top Form any longer...

I'm loosing interest also! I used to watch all boxing! I used to watch a replay of Pac 10-20X after a fight! I cant even finish one replay of the Pac Bradley! I dont watch any live events on HBO for 2 mts now! even on on demand, I just watch the highlights only! Pac's next fight will be on My sis wedding day! I used to move mountains to change anything just to watch it live! But this time, I'll just watch the replay!

I've lost a great deal of interest. I'm no longer as keen as before.

I do want to watch the fight as a fan but not as badly as before. TS is right that both are no longer on their primes.

Mauragon, your reasonings are sound, but I disagree.
Floyd vs Oscar generated 2.4M PPVs, Floyd vs Cotto 1.5M PPVs.
I think Floyd vs Pacquiao will surpass Floyd vs Cotto's 1.5M PPVs.
I'm not too sure if it will surpass the 2.4M PPVs of Floyd-Oscar, but
there's a big possibility it might due to the fact that this is the last
Great Big Fight since the Floyd-Oscar event. All your other reasons might affect
this outcome, but to a little degree. At least, that's my take.
:)
