Who can ever forget the knockout that Marquez dealt Pacquiao this year? Manny may still accomplish many things in boxing afterwards. The air of invincibility, the toughness, the fire, and fury that he brought to the sport will be forever gone. I will always be glad though that I lived in the Pacquiao era. Future generations would ask about him. If given a long life I would answer, he was a great man and the best fighter in the world.

I'm also glad that we were able to live in this era which for me is the best era in boxing for the Philippines.

Imagine Pacquiao and Donaire being top pound-for-pound fighters. They are very much well known in the boxing business. Add in Viloria who is a multi-division and multi-titlist. And let's not forget all the other Filipino boxers although not well known worldwide (Nietes, Casimero etc...) also brought pride to our country by being holders of major boxing titles.

Before, we were already beaming with pride when at one point in time, Espinosa, Peñalosa and Pacquiao were all titleholders. They were champions but not much recognized. How much more now that Pacquiao, Donaire and Viloria put Philippines on the boxing map and that the word Philippines has almost been synonymous to the word boxing.
