So what's the verdict? Was he required to shed the extra weight or was he penalized for coming in a tad over the agreed
catchweight?

0.2 lbs overweight but he was given 2 hrs to lose so that would be easy to shed and no problem for Algerie, I thought heiwas a nutritionist but could not perfect his weight

Pacman team strategy at 144lbs catchweight is a good decision , that's why Algeiri is complaining about the catch weight even though he fight at 140 lbs limit before as Jnr. welterweight , Algeiri trying to build muscle in this fight to improve his strength , the result he gain more weight and had difficulty in making 144lbs limit :D

Algieri had months to prepare to make weight but he missed it, that means he is having a hard time making weight at 144 even if its just .2 lbs he is putting so much effort just to shed that .2 lbs. Must be the PEDS..

Plus point for team Pacquiao. Good job with the catch weight..

Of course, since he's almost 5'11" , Algieri will grab any opportunity in the WEIGHT advantages..
