It wasn't a "lucky punch" it was a well timed punch.

PAC thought that he can finish off JMM pretty soon but JMM outsmart him and then BOOM!!!

Game over for our PAC.

I was surprised when PAC went down hard on the canvass in round 3. He used to take those kind of punch a LOT back in the days. He took Cotto, Margarito, Mosley's punches pretty good. I think the ability to take punches has gone or should I say at least deteriorated.

Plus his focus is not in boxing anymore. Boxing is a brutal sports, you can get killed inside the ring with one single big punch. So you should really dedicate yourself in boxing otherwise you will pay the price someday.

It's gonna be the same thing for PAC again on his next fight. Too much distractions, not enough training time, no dedication to the sports and you know what's gonna happen again, its another painful defeat.

I suggest for him to retire before it's too late.

It's more like a "steroid pop"....
Steroid can make an athlete more accurate. Ask Barry Bonds and McGwire... They were breaking world record.... :D

A lot of people here are still naive...

It was definitely luck. He had the luck to have a fourth fight and chance to knock Pacquiao out. He also had the luck to be stronger than ever before he was 39 years old. Even Pacquiao said that that it was a lucky punch. hehehe!

It's very IRONIC coz after 42 rounds of boxing and almost 9 years of fighting each other, Nacho and JMM KNOWS PAC boxing skills and ability very well whereas the opposite for Roach and PAC, they cannot solve JMM mystery puzzle.

Do you guys think that those home runners are results of just hard work and sheer determination..? Wake up guys...

Of course it was a well timed punch that landed... Something he was unable to do when he was still in prime... Don't be so naive...

peds made them stronger and probably quicker to react, but accuracy for the most part comes from natural talent and acquired skill and not from peds.

Are you serious bro?

Isn't it that they tried to link PAC on roids before but they didn't find anything.

Marquez is a very discipline fighter I think. He is dedicated to boxing and his hard work paid off.

Marquez won fair and square. Just give him credit for his victory.

I'm a pacfan but not a pactard.

means with that punch, marquez punzzz (fans) are lucky.

Icecream,

Please... your give JMM too much credits... "calculated, a product of long hard training". No way, it was KO punch... nothing less... nothing more... but it was a KO punch... Boxers are told to move side to side with their head... the reason is to avoid those punches.. if you can't avoid it... at least, the slide and roll of the punches can lessen the impact. On this case, PAC was heading straight into the punch. Not just his head movement but his entire body heading straight on. Like a car wreck, a head to head collision... or should I say a head to fist collision. But calculated product of long hard training... PLEASE!!! It took him 4 fights or 42 ROUNDS... how much calculations does he needs? Did he break his calculator on the previos 3 fights? Lol... I say, he finally did it after a long battle... and give him a kudo for sticking with it... we'll get him next time.

All it needs from top caliber fighters like Pac and Marquez is one single mistake and that Pac made a mistake. Lucky Marquez that Pac made a mistake or otherwise, Pac was already on his attack and ready to knock Marquez out. In a way of what had happen is good in boxing. Pac does not need Floyd anymore to make millions of dollars on their 5th fight.

it was a lucky punch, alright..lucky that he escaped a tko. reason was taht from the previous rounds 1, 2, 4, & 5 and even 6, mp was pounding him, and if he didn't get careless, jmm was sure to fall, with his nose broken and having difficulty breathing, he was ready for the picking. then came that LUCKY PUNCH! KABOOM!! 8)

Rustico Torrecampo said that "walang matibay sa chamba."

Not a lucky punch. It was something that JMM trained for and the opportunity presented itself. That's where the luck factor comes in. That the opportunity came. And also that it came together so well for JMM that it resulted in a KO.
