I like Duterte, except for his attack against drug users. He really should attack only the pushers, as it should be. Otherwise, he has to kill many students, actors, workers, etc.

Of course, the bigger the pushers, the better. At least he has dismantled a few big groups, hope he can do more. It's a tough job though, when most of the drug lords are government officials, police, military. 6 years won't be enough. After his term, it will be happy hour again for the drug lords. Warlords will never go away in the Philippines, and if warlords are also the drug lords, then that's it, it's a losing cause.

Drug users become drug pushers. They get into crime as well. Rob and assault innocent people. It's complicated. But I think the main rule of engagement is reasonable. They should surrender, but if they resist and put the lives of the police at risk then it's better them than our policemen.

Better get tough with this WAR on drugs no more soft approach..

correct bro! here in Negros, many users are also "pushing". now that drugs is so scarce and expensive, they turn to hold-ups to sustain their drug use. I have first-hand info because i live in a squatter's area where there is very high incidence rate of use and sale.

if the country needs to stop this drug problem and Duterte has the political will to do it, why not?

Polong Dutae's father once again says he will resign if amount in his bank accounts exceed 40 Million, he says money came from his father. Words don’t match actions. SIGN the waiver! Put your balls where your mouth is pres Dutae!

Well, every time I see Polong Dutae and Charlie Tan smiling together, I can smell the tons smuggling of shabu from China into the Philippines thru green lane at BOC.

Big or small, Digong should eradicate ANYBODY involved in drugs. He made his warning before he was elected president. If you still continue to be involved in drugs, then you deserve to be fed to the fish in Manila Bay.

I sense that Digong is serious in cleaning the bureaucracy of corruption and the whole country of criminality and drugs. Why would any thinking Pinoy not support him? Because he loves to spew PI's every now and then and seemingly alienates our country from the rest of the world except ASEAN, China, Japan, and Russia? Because his jokes are below the belt and touch the sensibilities of 'civil' society?

Let's stop hypocrisy. The enemies of the state have joined hands to destabilize the government, pulling down the country in the process. But business knows better and so the stock market is alive and bullish. Without corruption, our economy has nowhere to go but up. Digong is on the right track.

take the case of the Marawi Seige, if it is not Duterte how do you think will they manage the situation? will they just "watch it again on a video from a drone" and watch the men on the ground falling? Duterte is very decisive in his actions. better do a wrong decision than not doing any decision at all- that is what i learned from my management subject some 40 years ago...that spells for a good manager

I thought democracy had failed Filipinos. But it is we who have failed it

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... -failed-it

agree with this......Democracy is not for the Filipino, we prefer brutal dictatorship and authoritarian rule.
