I hope this won't end up like the Khan fight last year... But I have a doubt here...

Also, why is Freddie Roach not hired this time? Does this have something to do with Roach's health (he needs to travel back and forth LA and GenSan)?

Because Roach kept complaining about not getting paid by Pac after the Horn robbery.

Pac should fire his pestors first.

Sad that the Pac-Roach relationship is going to end this way. We all thought they almost had a genuine father and son bond but in the end, they were no more than business partners.

This fight might just go up in smoke, just like the Dubai fight. Arum is right, no money, no fight.

Well, Roach will probably come in later, if the fight does go through. We still don't know, there is no confirmation that Pacman is not bringing in Roach.

Maybe Roach has slowed down recently and hasn't given Manny any new fight strategy.
Plus in the last fight, Roach did not even complained to the Referee regarding headbutts and found play by Horn. It was Buboy who was doing all the complains to the referee.
I say Manny is doing the right thing.

This is a good matchup ! :jumpballs:

I remember when Leonard fired Angelo Dundee .
He had a lot more losses after then.

Roach has not slowed down.
Pac has slowed down with all his bs senatorial work.
Whenever he trains in Manila and Gen San, he really doesn't get in tip top shape.
There are no hills there.
Worse, he has security guards as sparring partners. Outside of one or two sparmates Roach brings in.

At the Wild Card in LA, he gets much better training.
But, he ran for senator and said he would retire if he won.

He better duck Garcia and Mathysse . Pac has been hit in the head way too many times already. The beating he's taken from JMM alone might give him dementia years after he retires.
He should have retired after the Jessie Vargas fight.

I think he should heed one writer's call to bring back Ariza :)

Well, this is starting to look like "fake" news, as there is no news. Maybe it won't happen and Pacman team is being played out again by so-called financiers ...

Well, just saw this news. If true, good for the Malaysians to be steadfast.

Top Rank is probably behind the scenes trying to stop it ...
