MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines will no longer stamp its visas on China’s new electronic passports, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced Wednesday.

“This action is being undertaken to avoid the Philippines being misconstrued as legitimizing the nine-dash line (claim) every time a Philippine visa is stamped on such Chinese e-passport,” it said in a statement.

They should not even allow those with E-Passport to enter PI. Chinese government never respected our sovereignty, let's treat them the way they treat us! Mga g-a-g-o!

Nah! It's more fun in the airport na nmn to, lalo na ngayung pasko.. Alam nyo nmn ang mga tao dyan.

I'm sure pera pera lng yan! Kahit nga ang mga passport ng pinoy my tatak na "not valid to travel to Iraq" , makakalusot pa din. Basta mag bayad ka ng 20k, may mag eescort sayo, tapos pasok ka na.

India and Vietnam did the same thing.... And perhaps even Taiwan will do the same.

Adding that nine dash line map is totally ignorance of reality by the greedy Chinese

There are so many chinese here who dont have proper documents and are staying forever in the country its because of relatives, friends who are permanent residence here and still the number is getting bigger. Hope the government can do something about this. Our foreign policy is OK lang! system.

These chinese must be question. As we dont want our country to hold any misunderstandings in future. If they will stay, i hope its for good and not for political purposes.

Philippines Starts Implementing Order on New Chinese Passports

Jocelyn R. Uy/Tarra Quismundo
Philippine Daily Inquirer
Publication Date : 05-12-2012

http://www.asianewsnet.net/home/news.php?id=39818&sec=1

The Philippine Bureau of Immigration (BI) yesterday said it had started implementing an order to stop stamping Chinese passports that bear a map of China extending its territory to include disputed islands in the South China Sea (also known in Philippines as West Philippine Sea).

In a memorandum, Immigration Commissioner Ricardo David Jr. directed all field offices and ports of entry nationwide to instead place their stamps on the back page of a Chinese national’s visa application form.
