When riding the LRT this afternoon, I heard a lady talk to her companion using this word,- and
while watching YT this evening, I encountered this word again. Is this a new Filipino word: "NAPAQUIAO" ?

Example,

1) "Ate, be careful when crossing the street, baka mapacquiao tayo ng bus! Wow, ang bilis
ng bus na yun, lista lang ok? Tingin mabuti ha..."

2) "Wow, 1st runner up lang tayo, eh mas maganda yung Q&A natin! Napacquiao tayo
ni Donald Trump, Luto!"

3) " tol, bakit ka may pasa sa tuhod mo?
Ans- " Hindi, naglalakad Lang ako ng mabilis, Hindi ko napansin may harang pala. Ayan
NAPAQUIAO tuhod ko tuloy!"

So what is the true meaning of "NAPAQUIAO"?

A) niluto o dinaya tayo?
B) Natsambahan or naisahan kasi hindi nakatingin o napansin isang bagay?
C) all of the above

we can clearly use this word as a reference to what he is doing to his opponents

and what marquez did to him on the last fight.

we are already using it on our household as a term for 'something bad that had happened'

ROFL

So if it's something positive for the person "na-pacquiao", but if its something negative "na-marquez"… :biglaugh:

It is an old word TS. Pacquaio (pakyaw) means to take possession of something.
Napakyaw means- you've got it all.

We also use it whenever we have a shocking quiz in school (I am a college student, not kinder)... 8) If we study/prepared for the quiz but the one we didn't prepared of will be the one to knock us out, I mean will make us fail the quiz...
