Lin is an average nba player and he isn't doing anything overly spectacular. He scores better than he runs the team but his defensive skills suck. New York was a good team before Lin got there or started playing and they will be a good team after he is gone. He is just another hype job built up by the press to sell print. I think it is sad because it takes away or diminishes the skills of other players that work hard on both ends of the floor and have been doing it for a long time. Mayweather never said that about Yao Ming, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitski, or Tom Chambers because they are/were legit. Linsanity is just a flash in the pan
lol
actually, they were not only a good team but a championship contender on paper before Linsanity struck the garden..(chandler, amare, melo...)
but the knicks' offense was centered on isolation plays and non stop three pointers before lin played.
d antoni's system needed a steve nash type of PG, while Lin is not steve nash, he has helped the team in scoring sans their premier scorers melo and stat. Lin has been stellar in facilitating the offense thru their pick and roll.He invites double teams whenever he attacks the basket that leaves shooters open... so it was not surprising he had a career high of 13 dimes.
when was the last time you saw jarred jeffries become a scoring option?
