BREAKING: Judge Denies Mayweather's House Arrest Appeal

LAS VEGAS -- A Las Vegas judge has denied a request from boxer Floyd Mayweather to serve the remainder of his jail sentence from home.

Judge Melissa Saragosa denied Mayweather's request late Wednesday.

Mayweather claimed he was underfed and also unable to train. The judge denied his request, saying chose not to eat the food available and that he could train in his cell.

Mayweather was sent to jail for 90 days starting on June 1 after being arrested for domestic violence.

He was accused of hitting and threatening his ex-girlfriend, stealing her cell phone and threatening two of their children at her home in September 2010. He could have faced 34 years in prison.

Another article, this one with some awesome quotes from the judge!

Ok, now I found his newest excuse to avoid Pacquiao. He is intentionally starving himself in prison so that he will return as a flyweight and challenge Nonito Donaire now that Donaire is doing random blood and urine testing by VADA.

Judge to Floyd Mayweather:

It's YOUR Fault

Floyd Mayweather just got knocked out by a Nevada judge ... who scoffed at the boxer's claim he is withering away in jail ... essentially ruling Mayweather is acting like a baby.

Floyd had begged the court to let him finish out his sentence for domestic violence on house arrest ... because he's dehydrated and malnourished and it's taking a toll on his body and putting his boxing career in jeopardy.

But moments ago, a judge DENIED Mayweather's request -- ordering him to serve out the remainder of his 3-month sentence behind bars.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ, the judge called B.S. on Mayweather's claim that he's dehydrated behind bars -- saying the boxer's condition is "self-induced as water is made available to [Floyd] twenty-four hours a day."

As for Floyd's gripe that he's only consuming a fraction of the calories he needs -- the judge says it's because "[Floyd] chooses not to eat the food provided."

The judge also balked at Floyd's complaint that he can't train at a world class level while serving his time -- saying, "While the training areas and times provided to Floyd may not be consistent with his prior regimen, he is indeed provided sufficient space and time for physical activity if he so chooses."

T.K.O.

He probably thought being in jail is comfortable. So much about being like Martin Luther King after this experience huh :)

Is Saragoza the same judge who approved Mayweather's jail postponement because of the Cotto fight?
There is Justice after all in state of Nevada!

This is just another ploy by Mayweather to upstage Pacquiao, again. Mayweather can't stand all this unsolicited wave of positive attention Pacquiao continues to receive from everybody (media, celebrities, boxing fans/afficionados, and kibitzers) going into Day 4 after those Vegas judges magically robbed him of winnings and awarded it to Bradley. Mayweather tries to stage a self-induced starvation protest to attract the media's attention. Unfortunately for Mayweather, the media and everybpody else are still pissed with Boxing's Robbery of the Century that his stunt goes unnoticed.
