Remember, floyd has fought against a handful of lefties including victor ortiz and super judah. (Although ortiz is a naturally right handed guy in southpaw stance.)

Yes. But what you may have overlooked is that berto is not a defensive genius as floyd is. He is a pugilist who can't pick his shots to fully make use of his shoulder roll defensive maneuver..

Floyd has the best shoulder roll in the business but his balls are still under-developed.

Berto is a stationary slugger. i can only laugh at what he did last nite. He did nothing more than do an imitation of the Philly shell...what Adrian Broner does is the real deal, and yes, its a very difficult style to fight. What Floyd does is mastering that style

Berto did look very strange indeed, maybe he's off the steroids. But mostly i think Ghost is a quality pressure fighter who doesnt give an inch to his opponent. Both men fought like warriors though it was a very ugly fight.

Berto tried the shoulder roll of Floyd but he was ineffective against Guerero, a lefty.

Floyd, had a history of having difficulties with lefties.

In other words, a lefty could be successful against an orthodox shoulder roll.

By moving to the right, a lefty can maneuver to the weaker side of the opponent, and Guerrero throwing his left bombs showed the blueprint.

No wonder he was calling out again Floyd at fight's end.

Yes i would agree that Shoulder roll is less effective against southpaws.... especially southpaws with powerful lead right hands as manny does.

Shoulder roll defense is wide open for a power left cross from a south paw. I'm really believe that this is the reason why Pac vs pbf not happening.

I agree. But that's also the reason why one of the strategies against a lefty is by moving to the left constantly. This should avoid a left straight or hook. However, one is still vulnerable to the right jab and right hook.

Trust me when I say this, floyd is talented when it comes to adjusting him gameplan midgame. All he needs to do now is grow some balls and prove that he's better than the pacman. ATGs have no room for cowards such as floyd.

Guys you forgot something try to retrieve Donaire demonstration of why the shoulder roll defense will not be effective against the southpaw boxer. It was posted here before. Mayweather uses his left shoulder but the left cross and left straight of the opponent will go in easily, try to imagine that.
