Top Rank took a similar chance when it brought Philippine megastar Manny Pacquiao to Cowboys Stadium in March. It was rewarded with a paid crowd of 36,371 and a gate of $6,359,985, according to post-fight tax reports filed with Texas boxing regulators. Counting complimentary tickets delivered to sponsors, media outlets and others, the Dallas fight attracted 41,843, well short of the 50,994 that the hype-conscious Cowboys announced, but still an epic number for stateside boxing.

No worries it will be the highest count for more years to come unless Mayfeather fights there. That won't happen coz xylocane isn't allowed over there.

70% of JJ-Katsidis live gate attendance were sponsored by GBP according to Schaefer because they are saying that their company is too generous that they are giving live gates and PPV buys for free. Schaefer and Oscar are saying to Top Rank that JMM deserves a 50-50 split purse with a 3rd fight with PACMAN because the former is now a certified hits drawer at PPV buys courtesy of the GBP sponsored buys.

So why is Arum scheduling Manny's next fight in Las Vegas, MGM if they are successful in Texas?

don't worry TS, even if Pac draws 30K, it's relatively huge number compare to stacked undercards of GBP like JMM vs Kats w/c generated barely 5K

You decide..

51K >>>>>>>> 5K
41 >>>>>>>> is way higher than 5K

nobody can bragged about live gates when we speaking of crowds being entice by the Pac

So Pac drew close to 90K in two fights this year?

When was the last time anyone did that?
