Short of calling him a bum, I don't think Drian Francisco has the tools to become
a world class champ. He better quit boxing and try another sport instead. He doesn't
have the stamina, his punches are way off, no footwork; he's soooo slow.

You mean Drian Francisco doesn't have a good trainer? Yes I agree.

Drian has the potential, as he has power. The only problem is his boxing style and conditioning. He has just boxed ten rounds, what more if it is a 12-rounder match.

Agree, just like anybody else,he seems having problem with his stamina and he's way too predictable with his attacks, his age does'nt help also...

well, for many "proud pinoys" here, that didn't seem to be this obvious until some unknown guy exposes Drian's weaknesses... :)

No, I did not mean that. Just read my whole post as I expounded what I mean when I said "he doesn't have it." He's so akward, he loses his balance everytime he throw a punch.

Drian should kick Fortune's a5s and hire a more defensive cosch.

Age is his biggest enemy. The rest is correctable. He is not a spent force yet. Give him a different coach and he will be dangerous. His problem is balance and accuracy. It takes a lot more out of you when you miss than when you hit. Especially the kind of loaded punches he throws. It seems like he loads on his jabs heavily. He should rather snap it and throw it a lot more times. In this way, he would be more accurate with his punches. He is very awkward and has a different style. But he is really dangerous if he develops his jabs.

What makes him dangerous is he is not easy to predict. And his punches come from different weird angles. All he needs is a really effective jab and movement to make his punches even more unpredictable. But the world of boxing is unforgiving. After this loss, he will be lucky if another big time promoter will ever look at him again. He could end up as another has beens. It seems like Fortune only relied on Francisco's punching power. But his punches were missing a lot. But I still thought the fight was close.

agree, when he fought his previous fight (he won by ko on 6ht) before last night, my initial reaction was he won by a lucky punch. his style is bara bara, and I don't see any potential for him to become a champion. He is the same as boom 2x and some other fighter, not a world class, sorry to say

problem with Filipino boxers is their stamina because of lack of nutritions. we grew up of eating rice which burns fast. Mexican eats a lot of beans which gives you more energy and protein.

IMHO - lack of aggressiveness , stamina, and he takes a lot of beating. He was just there to survive in the later rounds.
