Ang T*ng* ni Chino Trinidad! :banghead:

He does not research his subject before reporting, I was able to watch the news in 24 oras and in Q tv 11,regarding Azkals, Chino said that the name Azkals is because the players are half breeds, half Pinoys and half foreigners but they fight hard etc.

he did not even mention that half of the team or more than half of the team are homegrown Filipinos from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (Air force, Army, etc.).

But according to my research I was able to read that the name Azkals came from Filipino foot ball fans in a Filipino football forum... Azkals was the name suggested by Pinoy football fans because just like the street dogs in the Philippines, the Philippine football team have no support from our government, are underdogs compared to other neighboring countries when it comes to foot ball and we have no foot ball pedigree, but despite all of that... the Philippine national team just like the local street mongrel in the Philippines still perseveres in life and is a survivor.

Pinoy na Pinoy ang Azkals! Survivor, underdogs, almost everything is against us but we still persevere in life, just like the street dog and the foot ball team.

Go! Azkals!

Everybody in the Azkal team is considered Filipino, The players are from AFP (Air force, Army, etc.) and the half-Pinoys possess Filipino lineages, all the half-Pinoys have Filipina mothers and european fathers. they are a Filipino team.

Parang ganun na nga bro, I am just irked that Chino does not try to research the subject that he is reporting... this team badly needs support from our fellow kababayans, and Chino makes it sound as if the whole team is composed of half-Pinoys but the reality is, half of the team or more than half is composed of homegrown Filipino talents from the Armed Forces of the Philippines; I appreciate the half-Pinoys for their contribution bringing in the much needed experience for the team, the half-Pinoys are from prominent football clubs in Europe.

the right approach:

Ronnie Nathanielz is right in his method, last night I was able to watch the game on Studio 23, Ronnie and his co-host was telling the viewers that the team is composed of Local Pinoys from the AFP and Half-Pinoys, all of the Half-Pinoys have Pinay mothers, all of them are playing for the Philippines to make their mothers proud by playing for her home country... I think that this is a genius move from Ronnie, by bringing this fact into the Pinoy viewers attention, he just made the viewers sympathize, what kind of person would not appreciate such noble act, of playing for the Philippines just to make their mothers proud and every patriotic Filipino would root for our Pilipino soldiers and homegrown talents.

there is drama... From underdogs and now in the semis, of soldiers and homeboys playing for our Philippine flag, of Half-Pinoys trying to make their mothers proud... and we know Pinoys love drama, and with the style that Ronnie Nathanielz uses by stating facts and telling how noble the goal of the whole team is, more of our Pinoy kababayans will rally behind the Azkals.

Chino should have researched his subject before reporting, if you read bro Dwights posts, about how the name Azkals came to be, it is far from what Chino is reporting.

It's nice that football is getting attention in Pacland.

By the way, there are no official Azkal logo, everyone is welcome to make one.

As to the origin of the name, check this link

http://football.cebunetwork.com/the-sto ... m/2010/12/

Ronnie Nathanielsz's partner commentator is the PFF president or was the PFF president (If you ask people other than the PFF president)

Here's an interesting video.
