Even if azkals make it or not at world cup. B-Ball is dying, look at those pathetic PBA, calling NBA players to an exhibition games against their pathetic PBA players who just can't guard even a single player of Iran just to promote again basketball, It's too late, people dont trust philippine basketball anymore(maybe a few). It's just like, "My fellow countrymen, we're begging you, please buy our ticket or we all lost our Job - PBA

+1

Too many trying-hard PBA players who think they are the best in Asia. Well, even Taiwan will kick their asses. :biglaugh: PBA is slowly dying and nobody knows what will bring back their glory years. Maybe force all those Fil-Ams to play college ball before applying for the draft. :D

NBA also has the lockout. NBA teams are fast losing money and players are not budging to the demands of team owners. The way I see it, there might be no 2011-2012 season.

I can't wait for the start of the Premier League next month. :D

in fairness, loyski was correct in predicting some of this years outcome... 8)

Then, organizers/sponsors pay for fans to watch football games.
Now, fans pay for any price to watch Azkals' game.

as SPECTATORS, maybe........... including the ASSkuls watching on TV or buying tickets for a seat in the stands.................. LOL..........
since they get eliminated from ALL tournaments with ANY importance........... or DONT even qualify to any MAJOR tournament......... LOL.....

here we go again. okay they were eliminated but at least they made it up until the last 4 of each tournaments they've played last year. during the 2012 AFC Challenge cup, Philippine Azkals have made it until the last 4 coming from the Qualifying playoff round which is the playoff of the minnows (pinakamahina na teams) in Asia. natalo sila ng Turkmenistan sa Semi-Finals but they got a revenge at tinalo din nila ang Turks dito early this year. how about the Suzuki cup? nakaabot din sila ng Semi-Finals twice in a row (2010 & 2012). ni hindi nga nakapasok ang Indonesia at Vietnam na football nation.

could be... but not yet by now perhaps 20 or more years from now or maybe earlier if the football program here is a long term based on the performance of our Azkals for the past 5 or 6 years... it's a major lift to our Philippine football, but we are just getting started to become a football nation... it's still way too far, especially in Southeast Asian nation like Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia are the powerhouse in football, if we want to become a football nation... we start a long term and continuity of football program... our major priority is the homegrown and grassroots talent to be trained and developed, it all started here... we hope also we can bulid a modern and state-of-the-art football stadium with the capacity for at least 100,000 seats for the Azkals games around the Philippines, it's a big dream to our beloved football fans... but for now, it's hard to think by now because of course it's very expensive to build on... through sponsorship or funds from our business tycoons in the Philippines or the government, we hope we can make this dream happened... sooner or later will be the football nation I guess...

maybe not yet. but their impact in the philippine football are just amazing. they have attracted corporate sponsors and tv coverage of their games. they bring football consciousness even among the masses where basketball and billiards are the only known sports. win or lose, they make us filipinos proud. if kuwait beat them in the qualifiers, then we still need to thank them even though the football fever will be only short-lived

do you think some filipinos would embrace the sport if the players are bentong or empoy look-a-like? of course not. they reason why they became popular is because of good looking guys such as the younghusbands. let's face it marami ng nagladlad ngayon

and i can say the same logic to your beloved basketball team.

congratulations! i now hate the Phils. basketball team even more by people like you! tit-for-tat!

kaya pala pati ako napagbalingan :(
