UFL is getting bigger and climbing on higher level. This is good for Philippine football :D

Check out Former Phil NT Player Freddy Gonzales bro, he's the UFL's leading scorer with 33 goals. He was invited for the Azkals training camp, but declined due to some reasons. Hoping to see him battling it out with the Azkals players when they move to the 1st division, and also hoping to see him play for our NT again.

This is really good, we can have our pool of talents here. I wish more companies be willing to sponsor aspiring clubs

Pachanga's logo is a Phoenix :D

Looks like the 1st division just got more exciting!
The big three: Loyola, Global and Kaya
The dark horse: Stallions
The old favorite (and last year's champions of UFL and UFL Cup) : Air Force
The Philippine Army
Green Archers
Nomads (oldest team)
Pasargad FC

and now...
The Pachanga's Red Phoenix has risen to division 1 :)

Too bad the Navy sank down to division 2 as they are on the last spot...

Global edge closer to maiden UFL title
By ESPNSTAR.com staff

Global moved one step closer to winning the United Football League for the first time after crushing Philippine Air Force Phoenix 4-0 on Saturday.

The win helped move Edwin Cabalida's men top of the table two points ahead of second-placed Kaya, and a win over Loyola Meralco Sparks in their final game of the season next Tuesday will be enough to secure the title.

Izzeldin Elhabbib was the star of the show for Global as he laid on an assist for Alex Obiang to open the scoring in the 11th minute, before putting them firmly in control by grabbing one of his own 13 minutes later.

The Sudanese striker then grabbed his second a minute after the hour mark, before Patrick Reichelt capped off a dominant display from Global by adding a fourth in the 72nd minute.
The win also ends Loyola's title hopes as they are now five points behind the leaders, while Kaya will need a win in their final game against Stallion Gilligan's to have any chance of pipping Global to the crown.

In Division Two action, champions Pachanga recorded a 2-1 win over Diliman Victory Liner in a heated encounter which produced three red cards and seven yellows in total.
Freddy Gonzalez gave Pachanga an early lead when he slotted home in the third minute, and while they have several chances to grab a second, it only arrived three minutes from time when defender Carlo Taculsame found the back of the net.

Diliman grabbed a 92nd-minute consolation through Jay Eusebio.

In other matches, Laos FC beat Union Internacional Manila 2-1 while Lions Meltique Beef recorded an impressive 3-1 triumph over Sunken Garden United.and Forza FC thrashed Socceroo FC 6-1.

Saturday's United Football League Results

Division One
Philippine Air Force Phoenix 0-4 Global

Division Two
Diliman Victory Liner 1-2 Pachanga
Laos FC 1-2 Union Internacional Manila
Sunken Garden United 1-3 Lions Meltique Beef
Forza FC 6-1 Socceroo FC

------------

I just learned that UFL news is now on ESPN Star 8)

Air Force did not expect the influx of quality players from the school ranks and the ones abroad. There are also several decent foreign players in Div I. 8)
