filipino workers in hongkong are mostly domestic helpers. or " katulong". the job is cleaning the house, cook foods, wash dirty clothes etc. a very degrading job and "hinde pwede ipagmalaki". im not surprised if chinese treated azkal fans bad. we need to stop sending katulong to hongkong.

Being a DH is not a degrading job. It is a decent job the same as the others.

Its still better than stealing.

Tell me, who is much better? A politician here, who is rich, well educated, coming from an affluent family, but spends his days doing shady corrupt deals in government, going to night clubs in a government vehicle, molesting minors and other evil things you have or haven't heard yet being done by our corrupt politicians.

or... A Filipina Domestic helper who is a stay in (abroad), works almost 24 hours a day, is under paid, overworked and always crying herself every night to sleep because she misses her family back home. She earns every centavo through her hardwork, which majority of it she sends back home, cleaning toilets of her amo, rearing kids not hers, doing household chores and more often than not is abused in a foreign land?

Who is better as a person?

Hands down! its the Filipina DH that you love to look down on.

If you guys have a family member or know personally someone who is close to you, like a sister, mother, wife, daughter, father, brother who is an OFW, specially a DH. And you know the things they have to go through, I bet you guys will have a new found respect for them.

That is just a glimpse of what they go through just to make ends meet. And here you are, busy discriminating them, looking down on them, just because you are too "concerned" of what other countries think of you.

Sya nga pala!

They are not just helping their own families back home, but they are also helping your sorry *ss country's economy by sending their dollar remittances.

Racism is prevalent kahit saan, iba- iba lang level. Diba pag me indian kayong consultant ,we make endless jokes sa amoy ? Dapat me sanction yung team ng HK penalizing yung org nila kasi mahina crowd control or security for fans at opposing team.

China has its "one child policy".

For me personally, I think that having kids is a private issue between married couples, husband and wife. And the government should not in any way intervene with what the couple has decided upon.

The only thing the government can probably do in my opinion, is to educate the people. Tell newly wed couples and those who are planning to get married and have a family the Pros and Cons of having a big or small family.Tell them to be responsible parents. Another thing is they can probably educate the kids at school and tell our women that they have a choice, that there are different family planning methods out there which they can discuss with their partners.

Given that they can provide for them at buhayin ng maayos.

nice explanation. in the present situation we are experiencing now, having a big family even if you can provide their needs is a problem in the long run. just last year, a well known politically influenced family member was murdered at their home. the primary suspects are his brother and sister. marami kasi sila kaya sila sila na lang nag aaway. not properly guided by parents. we dont want that to happen again.

Believe me, its more complex than that.

Also the example that you gave is more of an issue with regards to morals and upbringing, those kind of "criminal" acts happen also with small families not just big ones.

Anyway, when we talk of pros and cons about countries having big populations it has more to do with how a country will fare in the long run.

There are repercussions of implementing any form of population control. as I've said... good and bad.

Which if we tackle now, will most likely derail the main topic of this thread.

many thanx to juramentado. you are a nice person, i sensed it.
anyway, theres no need for cursing the HKngrs at this time. mostly all azkal players were not a pure breed filipinos. in the country they came from football hooliganism is popular. and they used to it. we filipinos later on will be used to it also especially if azkals will keep on winning games. lets not inflame our fellow filipinos. if this will got worse, we might see a cancellation of pac- rios in Macau. Macau is also part of China if am not mistaken.

Some football hooligans in Europe are racists and I can concur that they are racists. Well, hardcore Pinoy football fans are used to this atmosphere but for those who are new to football, of course they would react heavily but racism is really inexcusable whether you're a hooligan or not.

O ayan video interview ni Dan Palami, where Dan is saying that... malalim ang pinaghuhugutan ng mga Chinese fans from Hong Kong, na kahit yung mga Hong Kong commentators were telling their people na not to forget about the Quirino Grandstand crisis.

Link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjMaTAJYnxI

But hey! Dan could be wrong you know. He might not be a "hardcore" fan.

Gaya nga ng sabi ng marami dito, its just "normal" in football at yung reaction ng HK fans had no political and racist undertones.

Alam mo nobody is inflaming anybody. I don't need to do that.

This is a forum, kaya naman natural lang you see varying point of views and ideas.

Trying to sweep those things under the floor and dismiss it, as if natural lang yung nangyari kamakailan.

Pero the Hong Kong fans reaction recently was not about just "pure" football craziness by so called "hardcore" fans.

It is tainted with racial and political undertones, because of the issues that you have with them now.

If you see things for what it really is, then siguro you will have a better idea of what is really happening in your surroundings, which will surely affect the way you make decisions in the future.

Pag ang tao mas well informed, mas okay yung mga nagiging decision nya. Kasi kuha nya yung buong picture e.

Si Arum obviously knows the potential of Chinese market in boxing. Kaya it will push through.
