Questions set #1:

Who were the fighters involved in recorded history's quickest stoppage (EXCLUDING THE REFEREE'S TEN-COUNT)? How long did the fight last? When and where did it happen?

Questions set #2:

Who were the fighters involved in recorded history's quickes KO (INCLUDING THE REF'S TEN-COUNT)? How long did the fight last? When and where did it happen?

Ever Beleno stopped Guillermo Salcedo in 5 seconds on September 16, 1994 in Sincelejo, Columbia. A notation at Beleno's boxrec record says, "The shortest KO in the world."

However, 6 years later, in 2000, in Wales, a Welsh SuperFeatherweight eclipsed that mark by one full second.*

Two years later, in 2002, Oliver Rubin matched Beleno's record in Hungary but not the Welsh fighter's.

All three fights were held on a Friday! But none fell on the 13th day. :D

===========
* Curiously, the Welshman never fought again after this feat. He was undefeated after six fights.

Note: The Welshman's fight provides the answers to Questions set #1 but not to Questions set #2. :D

Right on all counts, and more! LOL!

Couture's feat edged Dempsey's mauling of Tony Drake by half a second. :D

Actually, the record belongs to Angel Luis Torres v Gabriel Krizan fight in 2003.

Perhaps the fastest and most controversial fight. Krizan got knocked out as he attempted to touch gloves with Torres. Torres sucker punched Krizan. KO'd under 12 seconds including the 10 count. :D

The record that includes the count is 10-1/2 seconds.

Al Couture KO1 Ralph Walton 10.5 seconds Welterweight Sep. 23, 1946 Lewiston, ME, USA

I've seen Torres v Krizan fight and to tell you honestly, I think it is less than 12 seconds. You have to see the fight bro. I have some doubts with the old records as in those days(30's and 40's), boxing is like a circus act.

This one was fairly quick... the ref counted off though... should have been over under 10 seconds...

He's number 12 on the list according to the post above.

Hullo, patch!

Thunder's feat has been officially timed as "13 seconds", I believe.

As declared by most sources, Al Couture's KO of Ralph Walton in Lewiston, Maine-- the city mostly remembered for Ali-Liston 2 and the "phantom punch" and the "lowest live gate of a world championship match in boxing history"-- is the quickest in the category ("including the ref's ten-count"). It beats that, and the few others that were similarly timed, by half a second.

As hhascup pointed out, Couture's was timed at 10.5 seconds.

THANKS FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO THE THREAD! :D

note: I was not allowed to edit my earlier post, so I have to repost this with the corrections. Initially, I thought you were talking about Dempsey's KO which is listed at #12 by hhascupbut when I went to youtube, I found out that you were referring to Jimmy Thunder's KO, which hhascup lists at 26. Sorry for the double posting. :( :)
