SadOK, OK. We’re all sad. We are sad because Manny Pacquiao lost, but sadder still at the manner in which he lost.
Up until that moment when Juan Manuel Marquez landed that haymaker that knocked him out cold, it was still anybody’s fight. Pacman had been knocked down in the third round, but he came back strong to also knock down JMM in the fifth.
Even that fateful sixth round seemed to be going his way, but there was no denying Marquez.
Let there be no talk of a Pacquiao-Marquez V. It’s not going to happen. At least it shouldn’t. It’s all over for the Filipino champ, just as it’s also the end of the road for the Mexican warrior.
At least, Manny Pacquiao retires not only as one of the greatest prizefighters of all time, but also as a billionaire in peso terms....
