If I had influence over PACQUIAO I'd put it to him very plainly.

REDEDICATE/RECOMMITT Yourself COMPLETELY to BOXING ONLY.....or Retire!

Of the Four Fights combined, Marquez was much slower in this bout countering MANNY.
Hence MANNY did do his best job in the last bout not getting Tagged with JMM Straight Right and that's
why all three Judges had him Leading the Fight. So I do think he can Win and Win BIG....but he must do the Following...

RETIRE from Congress and DROP every other SIDESHOW he's Involved with.
Have an PLAN with a EXIT Strategy and Stick to it. TWO MORE or THREE more Fights and RETIRE...
FIGHT MARQUEZ in JULY, exercise that DEMON NOW!!!!!!!!
HIRE a NEW TRAINER known for DEVELOPING a FIGHTERS DEFENSIVE ACUMEN and INTELLIGIENCE (Freddies done all he can

BALLS to the WALL CONDITIONING so when he Fights JMM next time, Very High PACE, Run him into the Ground and don't even think of going for a Knockout in the first SEVEN/EIGHT ROUNDS....Lets just wear him out FIRST....

THEN After the EIGHT ROUND we'll re-examine if and when he's ready to go for the KILL but we're not pushing it EARLY ON

1... because Marquez is more focus than Pacquiao, and have the better camps of the two.

2... Pacquiao is old and can't take the hardest punch anymore unlike before.

3... the agressiveness he forgot that he is old now to doing that.

4... weak defence

5... overconfidence

Even if Pac does everything you're suggesting and some more, there's a possibility he'll lose again. He's human, after all, and his defeat showed the unpredictable nature of the sport.

Nacho Beristain, the architect of Pacquiao's downfall.

Overconfident, wild, careless, complacent. Predictable, remember Marquez knows Pacquioa's moves by now. So he knew Manny was going to throw that punch.

over aggression..

the 10 sec bell rang and he still went aggressive on a round that he already won clearly..

in other words "stupidity"

Impatient and Tactical Lapses.
I'm quite sure Manny knew he hurts Marquez and that he already won that round but instead of waiting for the next round to time and knock Marquez out (which he can surely do in the next round due to severeness of Marquez broken nose) he became very impatient and wanted to finish off Marquez in the remaining 10 seconds left and Manny's "tactical lapses" in that remaining seconds put his guard down that resulted with "the biggest and hardest punch" he's ever got in his boxing career that brutally knocked him out!

"Being impatient and Tactical Lapses" will never bring you success in any sports and more so in boxing! :peace:

Kudos to JMM for patiently waiting for Pacquiao's wrong decision at that time.

I just hope Manny will learn from this and study well his fight plan the way he fought Oscar dela Hoya which is being aggressive but smart and which is the antithesis of what he did with Marquez.

in basketball they call it the "gigil" factor.

he was too excited to finish JMM having won the exchanges in rounds 5 & 6, but he got careless in the process.
