I am thinking if Marquez is really going to retire but if not, in his next fight can Marquez will appear with the same kind of performance as his last fight can he maintain his conditioning.

What will be his declaration in his next fight will he say I keep my conditioning since December and I can prove I can knock out anyone with a single punch.

as a 39 year old, he most likely gave his LAST performance at THAT LEVEL........... the down hill will be rapid from here on out as he enters his 40s.........

he knows that and thats why if the 4th pacquiao fight didnt come he was ready to retire........ the fight DID come so he took it as his "LAST" fight and promised his wife/family that he would retire after the fight regardless of the outcome..........

the fight was a BOOM in his favor.......... now he's "discussing" ONE more fight with his family.......... he says that his wife/family are the only ones that can give him the "OK" to fight ONE more time since his PROMISE was to them..........

if he does fight one more time he says he wants to attempt a 5th divisional title........... even though he'll already be 40 by his next fight..........

bottom line:...... you cant escape father time...........
marquez has been in a decline for several YEARS already.......... if he does fight one more time, he would have slipped even further...........

good thing for pacquiao that marquez was NOT using strength and conditioning training earlier in his career......... or that marquez is NOT pac's same age.............. imagine marquez with s&c training at 33............. if he was able to do what he did to pac at 39, imagine what a 33 year old would have done to him.................

Thats why he was tempted to retire cuz he knows very well that he'll start going down on that slippery slope......
