Fernando Montiel walked with Marquez...both of those guys were annihilated by Nonito in their respective fights....

watching the replay now....dapudong is way too slow, very mechanical in his movements and punching....looks really awkward...sorry to say, don't know how he got out of the Philippines...

Yeah, sure he is. Gesta is fighting another class B fighter, Francisco Lorenzo, who only won 3 of his last 10 fights.

I wonder if Pinol will stop his self made boxing stable. Does any one there in P.I. know how to make world champions?

It's not an easy thing. If it's anyone. They are in the Philippine olympic Boxing program.

Looks like Mercito gasses out too and maybe can't take a power punch. We'll see...

mercito is kind of a special boxer compared to these guys. Melligen telegraphs his punches, very slow and no power. Dapudong is no special talent, just an ordinary poor kid trying to earn a living. Mercito has fast handspeed.

Mercito has a boxing background and fighting background due to his father teaching him, that is the same as Nonito. So maybe that kid has the potential to be something good

Another loss for Pinol. 8)

yeah there you go braveheart stable....I dont know but ive seen that dapundong fellow, nothing really special bout his skills. He's been given a chance goin after a title crack but he has very crude boxing skills... Pinol hypes them up and they get killed when matched up against top calibre fighters. poor kids..

I actually read Pinol's article... here : http://philboxing.com/news/columns.php?aid=609&id=57026 Actually its more about him and his whining about politics this and that, his program on boxers from grassroots, more of highlighting himself instead of his fighter's exploits...

He exalts himself and his deeds of helping up these "poor boys" by which he calls them but do these up and comers really have the skill to rank up against top class opposition? I dont think so... Well good luck on producing a champion...Dapundong's future in boxing is kinda bleak afrter that loss.

Maybe.

My only concern is his stamina and defense. :?
