All I'm saying is, as great a fighter Manny is, on this night he got outboxed. Rounds 1 and 12 are about the only rounds where Manny stood out, but for the most part he was kept back on his heels by the style of Morales.

Needless to say, I was very disappointed. I was really rooting for Manny and watched the fight closely with a bunch of my Cuban and Puerto Rican friends here in Miami, Florida all cheering for the Pacman. The only edge that Morales probably have on his side is that he grew up in the mean streets of the notorious city of Tijuana, Mexico. I guess his entire being has become callused from all the violent street fighting. We, filipinos, don't have such a place in the Philippines. The only place I can think of that comes close to Tijuana is Tondo, but comparing the two, Tondo seems like Beverly Hills. Secondly, we don't play dirty to get ahead.

To Manny, my hat's off to you for fighting till the end with such honesty and integrity, I am soooooo proud of you. You really don't have to prove anything, just the fact that Morales lost to Barrera twice, the same guy you punished in 2003 is proof in itself that you are the true CHAMPION!!!

boxinggal88,

so now you are saying it was the "environment he grew up in" is why morales had the edge in this fight. and your reference to "cheating" in order to win. Are you implying that morales cheated? sour grapes talaga. your pacman got his *** kicked and deal with it.

its not with the gloves actually...its that he never got the leverage and angle that he used against MAB and JMM, he was able to hit morales many times but not that full force coz he was not at an advantageous angle..

The truth hurts, more than Manny's punches last night.

I've been a serious fight fan for many years, and I've never heard any fighter say anything like, "yeah, he hits really hard and I was hurt by his punches." Most fighters lie about punching power, and Morales is no exception.

You're all blaming the gloves. Like it would've mattered! I don't think it got to the point where the gloves made a difference. Don't get me wrong, I wanted Manny to win as much as every Filipino but the punches just weren't strong enough.

Yeah, because if you get knocked down you don't get asked that question! Obviously the press saw that indeed Morales could take Pacquiao's punches.

That's bullshit!!! He was hurt a lot of times by Manny's Power shots not only on the 12th round! And he almost went down on the 12th round. Not hurt???? I don't think so...

At the end of the day, he's got something to back up his claim, he never went down and he won!

Knock out technician ang manok natin. Medyo nadehado tayo dahil hihina ang dating kung well cushion yung gloves. So points lang talaga ang laban na gusto ng mga Mexicano dahil yun lang ang kaya ni Morales. Takot silang matulog ang manok nila. hahaha :boxing:
