Gusto ko lang po pag-usapan para malaman ang consensus at opinions ng mga kabayan:

This is regarding the on-going 6th window of the FIBA Asia World Cup qualifier… as everybody knows po… nasa do or die situation na ang Philippine mens basketball team para to make it in 2019 FIBA World Cup.

Opinion ko po: ung tamang preparation lang talaga ang kulang sa Philippine team… kasi everytime na lalaban sila internationally napaka-iksi lang talaga ang time para magkasama-sama sila… kung talent, skills ang pag-uusapan given na yan sa Philippine team… kasi balewala ang galing at abilidad ng mga players kung kulang naman sa preparation at chemistry, kaya ang naagiging results ay hindi talaga nagiging maganda….tulad ng nangyayari ngaun.... It’s about time siguro na pag-isipan na ng PBA at Philippine govt o kung sino mang in-charge sa basketball sa pinas (as a whole) na I shortened nila ang mga conferences o gawin na lang nilang dalawa… aside sa all Filipino conference.. ung second conference gawin na lang nilang open conference (parang invitational na mga foreign team ang mga kasali) tapos ung gilas team kasali sa mga teams na lalaban sa open conference para mas makapagprepare ng maaga... total sa PBA naman nanggagaling ung magre-represent sa mga FIBA games… eto’y opinion ko lang… God Bless po! :-)

Filipinos are very passionate about basketball, but lets accept the fact that in this sport you need height, power and speed to become one of the best, sad to say we lack those 3 characteristics compare to other top teams in the world.

Maybe when we improve our diet and become a bit taller in height in a thousands years then we can compete competitively.
No we don't need to SHORTEN it at all we need to HEIGHTEN it for ever.

I agree with you mga bros. when it comes to height talagang kulang pa ang mga pinoy.. at kung meron man malalaki mababagal naman ..at ilan lang din ang malalaki na athletic, but then again nage-evolve na ang lahat nagbabago na rin ang lahat,… if you remember ung nakaraang 2014 FIBA World cup … makikita natin na puede tayong mag-compete kahit lacks tayo sa height… isang acid test un na kaya rin palang sumabay ng pinas kahit maliliit…siempre with the help of naturalized player at iba pang sinasabing hybrid na player… ung lack natin sa height puede namang mabawi sa ibang aspect like speed… at ung isa pa dito dapat maging consistent din talaga sa shooting especially ang tres… kung ang NBA nga nag-evolve na sila ngaun lahat ng position nila bumabato sa tres at consistent…. sana ganun din ang PBA…

Noong araw ng 50’s – 80’s kaya pa ng Pinas mag top sa Asia… kasi aside sa korea’s (north & south), japan, Taiwan eh talagang china lang ang pinakamabigat na kalaban sa Asia… di katulad ngaun nagising na ang mga middle east countries at iba pang Asian countries like india, Kazakhstan atbp… tapos nadagdag pa ang new Zealand at Australia… eh talagang mabigat na para sa pinas… ang isa pang point ko ditto mga bro… di naman ung goal na mag-champion sa world cup which is suntok talaga sa buwan un…. Ang ma-qualify lang sa world cup ay para ka na ring nag-champion at manalo ng game sa world cup ay bonus na un… di na rin kasi maalis eto sa pinas... kasi part na talaga ng culture natin ang passion sa basketball...God Bless po :-)
