But it would be good for the President to look in the mirror at his own version of selective justice and the hiring and shielding of Omar “Solitario” Ali, a Maranao leader who was on the President’s own drug lord watch list. He was hired by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) because, as a former Moro National Liberation Front commander and former mayor of Marawi city, he agreed to negotiate with the Maute group in the administration’s management, or should we say mismanagement, of the Marawi crisis.

Quote:
A Manila Bulletin report said Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus Dureza admitted that Ali [aka “Solitario”] had contacted him by phone “even before the Marawi (strife) erupted,” warning ‘about possible (violent) incidents involving the Mautes’ as conveyed by Salic [Solitario’s half brother, aka “Pre”], uncle by affinity to radical brothers Omar and Abdullah Maute”[i].

Quote:
In this report, “Dureza…confirmed that he had taken in (Solitario) as an OPAPP consultant way before the Marawi siege erupted.”[ii] This happened sometime after the Davao bombing in September 2016, and not long after Solitario, Pre, and Arafats’ names had been included in President Duterte’s drug watch list released in early August of 2016.[iii]

History will be the judge ika nga. May stand down order talaga.

In his speech in Dec. 12, 2016 during the Wallace Business Forum dinner at Malacañan Palace, Duterte said the Maute group was willing to pull out of Lanao provided that government forces would stop the offensive.

"They are in there in the forest. I don’t know where and I said, they would stop fighting, provided we stop the offensive or not, they said that they will go down upon Maraw to burn the place,i" Duterte said.

The President dared the Maute group to "Go ahead, do it."

Thanks pre.

Naalala ko lang yung sabi ni president Duterte. Yun daw charge kay pnot is stupid, he broke protocol because he did what he thought is right at the moment. . Duterte further added tama si panot in using people who he trusted. Ganun din daw ang gagawin nya if he was in charge nung panahon na yun.

Opinion ng presidente yan, but the charge of ombudsman is another matter, let the truth come out in the investigation. Let us wait and see.

+1, he was Commander-in-Chief, so he was the ultimate authority, walang usurpation of authority if he was at the top of the food chain

yun lang point ng iba, is that the Ombudsman purposefully made that case so that it would ultimately be junked due to its weak argument--no usurpation of authority by the ultimate authority

kung walang usurpation of authority, paano maging guilty si PNoy? Napenas and Purisima with some few of their colleagues planned the whole thing. PNoy approved the plan based on their recommendation. In fact, they went beyond their recommendation, they tricked the president on the "time on target" by being cavalier about it. Their own admission that they did not trust the AFP proved this.

If there was an instance where it clearly showed PNoy had nothing to be pinned on (criminally or otherwise) was when the Mamasapano reopened and presided by a hostile senator in the person of Enrile. To say the reopening of Enrile on the case was a dud was putting it mildly. Instead of embarrassing PNoy, it helped him more. The AFP was also absolved as more footage and picture presented in the senate that showed there were many PNP-SAF men just a few meters away from the actual fighting that did not reinforce or come to the aid of their own comrades.

PeluBoy wrote:
Isang point lang yun nagstick sa isip ko, when the SAF troops asked for support, PNoy ordered everybody to stand down.

the "stand down" claim has never been proven.

two reports (senate and PNP) said there was no stand down order given. there were two senate investigations, and no witness ever gave testimony to this 'stand down' claim.

the Manila Times made the allegations but never provided support during the investigation which would without a doubt clearly INDICT PNoy. walang question yan kung me magpapatunay na merong order. but it never was supported by the Manila Times in the senate investigation. the Manila Times also said they have a source who said that PNoy was in a drone facility monitoring the operation. NO ONE from Manila Times provided any witness to the Senate to corroborate their story.

kung merong witness, reclusion perpetua pinakamababang hatol dyan ke PNoy. that is almost treachery already.

pero walang nangyari sa claim na ito. so lumalabas, chismis.
