Benigno Sr. was charged with treason because he wanted to protect the Filipino people by co-working with Japan, the invaders at that time. Just to tell you para ma update ka sa Pinoy History, the likes of Claro M. Recto and Jose P. Laurel were charged of treason also, along with Benigno Sr. And they were passionate patriots, died for the country. Hindi ibig sabihin na ka alyado mo Americano, that means hindi ka na pwede maging traitor sa bansa mo. kasi kung nakaka intindi ka, ang Japan at Amerikano ay parehong MANANAKOP ng Pilipinas! pareho sila pumatay ng libong pilipino. why would a pilipino forging an alliance with a Japanese wrong while it is not with the Americans?

Benigno Jr. was charged with "murder and subversion".

Marcos Sr. was CONVICTED by the lower court and was acquitted by the Supreme Court with Jose P. Laurel (who faced treason for collaborating with the Japanese together with the likes of Benigno Sr. and Claro M. Recto) voting for Marcos' acquittal. So "traitor" pala nag acquit ke Marcos Sr., pero wala kang issue dun?

At talking about "traitors", si Mariano Marcos (erpat ni Marcos Sr) was killed during the second world war for treachery. pero wala kang issue dun. makapili ka rin.

ang like most traitors that preceded Mariano Marcos, people built him monuments and/or schools so people can reflect and appreciate his treachery.

fact yun.

Benigno Jr: Convicted by Military Court

Mariano Marcos: Killed by the either the Japs or his political Rival

_______________

mariano marcos...

Death

On March 8, 1945, during the closing days of the war, Marcos was found to be a Japanese collaborator and died in La Union at the hands of Philippine guerrillas who tied each of his hands to a carabao. The two carabaos were then whipped to run in opposite directions.

In the Malacanang-issued “Official Week in Review” dated October 30-November 5, 1970, Ferdinand is described as going to San Fernando, La Union on November 1, 1970 to visit a memorial to Mariano, who is described as having been “killed by Japanese soldiers during the war.”

This description of Mariano’s death is contradicted by reports that he actually died at the hands of guerrillas as he was known to have been a Japanese collaborator.

Journalist John Sharkey, in a January 24,1986 article in Washington Post, describes the following as appearing in a 1948 affidavit of an American colonel stationed in Northern Luzon: “When questioned [Mariano Marcos] readily admitted his activities, and stated that he had been recommended to the Japanese area propagandist by his son.” Sharkey takes “son” to refer to Ferdinand (the other son was Pacifico).

American guerrilla leader Robert Lapham, in the book Lapham’s Raiders: Guerrillas in the Philippines 1942-1945, maintains that “Ferdinand Marcos’s father...was unquestionably a collaborator with the Japanese, for which bad judgment he paid a ghastly price."

In April 1945, Mariano, Lapham states, was drawn and quartered with the use of carabaos. What was left of him were then hung on a tree. Lapham mentioned that several of the guerillas who carried out the execution of Mariano Marcos were friends and relatives of Julio Nalundasan, the man Ferdinand Marcos had been accused of killing before the war.

ang isa sa pinakasamasarp makipag diskusyun sa mga loyalista ni apo Macoy at ni BoBONG Marcos, ay yung sampal sampalin sila ng ebidensya. hindi bale na yung lumalaban pa rin sila armed with katangahan. mas importante masampal sila ng katotohanan. over and over and over and over again.

Ayan ka nanaman eh... Kung ano pwede ipilit, pipilitin...

-- Si Benigno Sr went out of his way to form a political party that would work with the Japanese nung 40s. With the help pf the Americans, he was captured then charged for treason…

-- Si Mariano Marcos was either killed by the Japs o (according to your source) political opponent dahil sa treason. Eh teka, sino ba source mo?

The spokesperson for the University of Oxford, Clare Woodcock, said in an e-mail:

‘We can confirm that a Ferdinand Marcos matriculated at the University of Oxford in 1975 to read for a BA in Philosophy, Philosophy and Economics. According to our records, he did not complete his degree, but was awarded a Special Diploma in Social Studies in 1978.’

Diploma not a degree

In the UK educational system, a diploma is not equivalent to a degree. The University of Oxford Department for Continuing Education is explicit:

‘An Undergraduate Diploma is the same as the second year of an undergraduate degree.’

A student from a UK university told us that “anyone who only has a diploma did not complete the 3-year degree course, did not take the exams, and therefore has not been conferred a BA.”

.................

iba nga daw.

"Ben Cinco" a graduate of Oxford, who commenced with Marcos Jr at St Edmund Hall, put it sharply: “Essentially this means that Marcos is a college dropout, in the sense that he has not completed a degree to Bachelor level.”
