US new Tax cuts is a win for America but I am sorry to say a lost for countries like the Philippines.
Business will start coming back to the US, meaning a lost to a country where they are now, including the Philippines.

Why?

Australia already issued a warning that businesses are coming back to the US.

The US company tax rate, however, is critical because as the world’s largest economy, a cut would result in investment and capital flowing back into the country at the expense of nations such as Australia, whose higher tax rates would make it uncompetitive and less attractive as an investment option. Scott Morrison told The Australian that the Treasury analysis confirmed the IMF forecasts, which at the beginning of the year had been only hypothetical. The Treasurer said they were now a reality. “The Trump tax cuts are coming. If we fail to respond, they will take Australian jobs, investment and wages with them,” Mr Morrison said.

The reason nagsialisan ang mga manufacturing diyan dahil sa labor cost and not only taxes.

that is a real concern, but it will be compensated by reduction of shipping cost, and low cost utilities.
Right now, companies are reducing labor by automation.
Kaya nagtatayuan na ng manufacturing dito sa US, madami na bumalik, but most of them are using automation.

Kapag nagautomation e di wala ring nagawang trabaho.

Meron pa rin, hindi maman lahat pwede i automate.
But that is the challenge. People in a Free Market Society will adjust, they need to upgrade their skills to meet the new demands.

It would be more expensive to ship out from the yu-es adme. Within the yu-es it's fine, but coming out would be more expensive plus labor cost so how can you compete in the world market?

Automation or the coming of AI is a threat to BPOs. Also, mahirap magrely mainly sa BPO kasi they are the ones that can easily pack up and go. AI was also a concern I heard from Concepcion that's why they are already looking into other avenues to prepare for any eventuality.
