you have to be a special kind of stup1d to still believe in the drug war. and that is me being kind on my analysis.

Huwag mo muna iabswelto.

ZAMBOANGA. A PDEA agent lists down the illegal drugs and other items seized from seven high-value target drug personalities arrested on Thursday, January 18, in Zamboanga City.

AGENTS of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized some P115,000 worth of illegal drugs in an anti-drug operation that saw the dismantling of a drug den in Zamboanga City, an official said. PDEA Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio said the anti-drug operations conducted around 5:45 p.m.

Thursday, January 18, also resulted in the arrest of seven high-value target drug personalities, while another escaped in the village of Camino Nuevo. Aspacio identified the arrested suspects as Jeanifer Mondares, 32; Paulita Tubil, 43; Rodrigo Tubil, 32; Raymond Farallon, 42; Mark Albia, 26; Abdel Alamia, 41; and Bobby Tubil, 30. Aspacio said another drug personality identified as Robert Berdin escaped upon sensing the presence of the PDEA agents.

Confiscated from the suspects were 23 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) packed in a transparent plastic sachet worth P115,000, P500 marked money, and several illegal-drug paraphernalia.

Aspacio said cases for violation of Section 5 (Selling of Illegal Drugs), Section 6 (Maintenance of Den, Dive or Resort), Section 7 (Employees and Visitors of Den, Dive or Resort), Section 11 (Possession of Illegal Drugs), Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Section 13 (Possession of Illegal Drugs during Parties), Section 14 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia during Parties), and Section 26 (Attempt or Conspiracy) of Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed in court against the suspects. PNP chief: ‘Tokhang’ may start next week
BY ROY NARRA ON JANUARY 20, 2018

PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) chief Ronald “Bato” de la Rosa said “Oplan Tokhang” may start next week.

In a television interview, de la Rosa said the oversight committee was polishing the guidelines for the operation involving policemen knocking on an alleged drug user’s door and pleading with him to surrender to authorities.

“Baka next week, basta we will be transparent pag dating sa operation na `yan…Basta hindi na sila nagba-violate sa mga human rights [Maybe next week, but we will be transparent in that operation…they must not violate human rights],” he added.

Earlier this week, de la Rosa said part of the new guidelines included policemen wearing body cameras during operations.

Chief Supt. Dionardo Carlos, PNP spokesman, said media and human rights groups were invited to accompany policemen during “Tokhang” operations for transparency.

Amid allegations of human rights abuses and extrajudicial killings, the PNP was removed by President Rodrigo Duterte from his illegal drug campaign and designated the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to take the lead.

‘Here I come’

De la Rosa, who will take over as chief of the Bureau of Corrections (Bucor) after he retires from the service in March, has ordered the removal of the current Special Action Force (SAF) troops at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) and ordered the incoming SAF head, Director Noel Taliño, to bring in forces who were never assigned there.

The SAF troops have been accused of being part of the drug trade inside the NBP.

De la Rosa warned drug lords inside the Bilibid Prison to watch out for him once he assumes his new post.
“The drug lords at the Bilibid must be excited over my arrival. To the drug lords, here I come.
