accomplishment din na gawin sinungaling ang mga media :?

sa mga "printed" news outlets wala pa akong nakita na nagbanggit sa link ni del Rosary sa Philex/PXP and its interests in Recto Bank oil exploration :(

mabuti pa ang TV Patrol kagabi, me stock market analyst silang pinagsalita na parang prudent daw ito since del Rosary had been heavily involved in PXP's Recto Bank exploration...

...but does this even make up for the blatant hypocrisy of del Rosary and all those involved ?

Former DFA chief Del Rosario resigns from First Pacific board
July 4, 2019 | 12:07 am
Business World wrote:
FORMER Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Albert F. del Rosario has resigned as non-executive director of Hong Kong-listed First Pacific Co. Ltd., citing poor health and his decision to focus on personal advocacies.

This comes less than two weeks after Mr. Del Rosario was denied entry to Hong Kong, which caused him to miss First Pacific’s board meeting and shareholders’ meeting on June 21.

In a disclosure posted on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Tuesday, First Pacific said that Mr. Del Rosario has tendered his resignation on July 1.

Salim-led First Pacific controls three Philippine firms, namely Metro Pacific Investments Corp., PLDT, Inc., and Philex Mining Corp.

Mr. Del Rosario, who turns 80 in November, attributed his decision to leave the company to “poor health” and “other constraints, such as, his increased involvement in a number of personal advocacies which makes it difficult for him to continue to serve as a director of the company.”

The company noted that Mr. Del Rosario does not have any disagreements with the board of directors, and that he has no claims over fees, remuneration or compensation, or loss of office.

“The board would like to express its profound thanks to Ambassador del Rosario, who has been a source of invaluable counsel to the company during his tenure,” First Pacific said.

On June 21, the country’s former top diplomat was held and questioned by immigration officers at the Hong Kong International Airport, before being deported back to Manila.

At that time, Mr. Del Rosario called Hong Kong’s denial of entry despite his diplomatic passport a “disrespectful act” of the special administrative region of China against the Philippines.

Mr. Del Rosario and retired Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales sent a “communication” to the International Criminal Court (ICC) last March asking the organization to conduct a preliminary examination against Chinese President Xi Jinping and other officials in connection with the harassment of Filipino fishermen in the West Philippine Sea.

Mr. Del Rosario first sat on First Pacific’s board in June 2003 as independent non executive director. He left the board after being appointed as Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs from February 2011 to March 2016 by former President Benigno S. Aquino III. He returned to First Pacific on June 2016, occupying the same post.

He also served as the Philippine Ambassador to the United States from 2001 to 2006 under then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

First Pacific now has nine members, namely, non-executive chairman Anthoni Salim, managing director and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan, chief financial officer Christopher H. Young, Benny S. Santoso, Tedy Djuhar, Edward K.Y. Chen, Margaret Leung Ko May Yee, Philip Fan Yan Hok, and Madeleine Lee Suh Shin.

Hastings Holdings, Inc. — a unit of PLDT Beneficial Trust Fund subsidiary MediaQuest Holdings, Inc. — maintains interest in BusinessWorld through the Philippine Star Group, which it controls. — Arra B. Francia

2.7% inflation in June lowest since Aug 2017

ANNA LEAH E. GONZALES 2 days ago
Mang Tani weekend weatherLPA in western Mindanao to bring rains in most of PHL

THE country’s headline inflation rate decelerated to 2.7 percent in June, the lowest recorded since the 2.6 percent in August 2017, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported on Friday.

Last month’s result was also down from the 3.2 percent inflation rate in May and 5.2 percent in June 2018.

It also settled within the 2.6 to 3.0 percent forecast of analysts polled by The Manila Times earlier this week.

The record slowing down of prices in almost two years evidently elated Malacañang, which also on Friday said “soaring” inflation rate of the country is now just a “thing of the past.”

Duterte leads inauguration of rehabilitated Ormoc airport
Manalo, Danny 2 days ago

President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday led the inauguration of the rehabilitated Ormoc City airport.

During the ceremony, the president unveiled the Ormoc City Airport marker.

Also present during the occasion were Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade, Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez, Leyte Representative Lucy Torres-Gomez, and Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Director General Capt. Jim Sydiongco.

The rehabilitation project included the renovation of the passenger terminal building, construction of the CAAP administration building and other facilities, as well as the widening of the runway.

The airport underwent rehabilitation after having been damaged by Super Typhoon Yolanda in 2013 and by a 6.5-magnitude earthquake in 2017. — DVM, GMA News

Duterte gets record high performance rating; 80 pct of Pinoys satisfied: SWS
ABS-CBN News

ABiaS-CBN News hihihih  wrote:
President Rodrigo Duterte received a new personal record-high satisfaction rating, with 80 percent of adult Filipinos satisfied with his performance compared to only 12 percent dissatisfied and 9 percent who are undecided, a new Social Weather Stations survey revealed Monday.

The Second Quarter 2019 Social Weather Survey showed gross satisfaction with the President rose by 1 point from 79% in March 2019, gross undecided rose by 1 point from 8%, and gross dissatisfaction fell by 1 point from 13%.

Net satisfaction rating was at +68, classified by SWS as "very good" and a new personal record-high for the President, surpassing the previous record of very good +66 in March 2019 and June 2017.

SWS said the 2-point rise in President Duterte's net satisfaction rating from March 2019 to June 2019 was due to an increase in Balance Luzon, offset by declines in Mindanao, the Visayas, and Metro Manila.

The President's net satisfaction rating stayed very good in Balance Luzon, at a new record-high +65 in June 2019, up by 9 points from +56 in March 2019. This surpassed the previous record of very good +60 in December 2016.

It stayed excellent in Mindanao, at +81 in June, although down by 7 points from the record-high +88 in March.

It stayed very good in the Visayas, at +66 in June, although down by 3 points from +69 in March.

It also stayed very good in Metro Manila, at +59 in June, although down by 2 points from +61 in March.

The June 2019 Social Weather Survey was conducted from June 22-26, 2019 using face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults (18 years old and above) nationwide: 300 each in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The survey had sampling error margins of ±3% for national percentages, and ±6% each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

VERY GOOD IN CLASS E, CLASS D

Duterte’s net satisfaction rating stayed very good in class E, at a new record-high +68 in June 2019, up by 10 points from +58 in March 2019. This surpassed the previous record of very good +67 in June 2017.

It stayed very good in class D or the masa, maintaining the record-high +68 in June (79% satisfied, 11% dissatisfied) from March (80% satisfied, 12% dissatisfied).

It also stayed very good in class ABC, at +58 (76% satisfied, 18% dissatisfied) in June, although down by 11 points from the record-high +69 (83% satisfied, 14% dissatisfied) in March.

wahahahahahaha mga kawawa iyak iyak muna ulit :celebrate: :beeh:
