Paspasan yan.

me link yung post ko. DENGUE VACCINE - RAPPLER.com

ito yung timeline of procurement, ayun dun sa link:

Quote:
December 1, 2015 - President Benigno Aquino III receives executives from the company in a courtesy call in Paris, France.

December 22, 2015 – The Philippines becomes the first Asian country to approve commercial sale of the world's first dengue vaccine, Dengvaxia, manufactured by French pharmaceutical giant Sanofi Pasteur.

January 5, 2016 – Then-health secretary Janette Garin says then-president Benigno Aquino III approved the administration of the dengue vaccine to 1,077,623 9-year-old public school students in NCR, Central Luzon, and Calabarzon.

A whopping P3.5 billion will be sourced from sin tax revenues to fund the immunization purchase.

February 11, 2016 – Doses of Dengvaxia arrive in the Philippines.

Duterte admin started on June 2016. itinigil pansamantala ng Duterte administration ang vaccination on July 2016. Pero nag continue on Sept.

Quote:

July 18, 2016 – Dr Paulyn Ubial is now DOH chief under President Rodrigo Duterte. She signs a resolution recommending the deferment of the program, saying the vaccine is not proven safe.

September 28, 2016 – But two months later, Ubial issues a Certificate of Exemption for Dengvaxia so it could still be used despite her earlier flagging of certain issues.

and putting this in perspective, lest I be accused of bias on either PNoy admin or Duterte admin, two of my kids were vaccinated last year with this Dengue vaccine.

some here may be arguing 'academically', but i am discussing by experience...

Ok don robert fair enough and i really hope na yung vaccine e wala talagang masamang epekto for your kid and other kid's sake.

Alam kong malayong mangyari pero this issue should be tackled without any color by the government. Managot ang dapat managot

thanks pre. what else is there to say but this is the sad reality my kids are in now. in terms of prosecution, i don't know what else is there to do since the WHO itself recommended it. i mean if you are the nation's president with high cases of HIV (which is now in a rapid rise), the first news of a vaccine, you will be the first one to avail of it too, notwithstanding the approval from the WHO itself.

when i last talked to our pediatrician, the one who administered this Dengue vaccine to my kids, she mentioned that a vaccine for Malaria is in near end of clinical test and review. i was also looking forward to this Malaria vaccine too. i guess with what has happened, scrutiny in the release of any vaccine will be even higher than it was before.

Some doctors did not incourage this vaccine.
