After almost 20 years, I went back to PRC yesterday to renew my license...
Sadly, hindi pwede i-renew because I do not have the required CPD credits... :(

I showed to PRC personnel my all my certificates na dalawang binder ang kapal...
Ang sabi, I have to pay them 1,000 for them to evaluate all my certificates and it will take 3-6 months before they will advice how many CPD points will be credited to me..

Imagine they can't renew their license because they need points from seminars...
While listening to their discussion, I can sense na parang namomroblema sya so I asked her why..
Sagot nya, she is being required to get the orig documents from her school..
Simple requirements lang but she has to fly to Mindanao para kunin ang mga requirements...

Good for me and for others whocan still do what I am doing now even without the valid PRC license.
But how about those who can't work without the ID?
Or those who can't afford to go to seminars?

Like I said earlier, malaking burden talaga yan, hindi lang financially kundi pati yung aksaya sa oras.

2 propesyon ko

law = 36 units ng mandatory continuing legal education
accounting = 120 cpd units

magastos talaga. at least sa law, yung 36 units, makukuha mo ng 4 1/2 days (8 hours per day) sa isang seminar lang. that will be good for 3 years compliance. so one week lang na abala for every 3 years

sa accounting ang petmalu. hindi mo pwedeng kunin lahat ng 120 units sa isang taon lang. dapat distributed ang 120 hrs for 3 years compliance period. so its 40 hours per year. ang national convention is good for 2 1/2 days lang, around 21 units ang pwede ma earned. and nagrorotate sa Luzon, visayas, Mindanao ang venue. last year sa manila.

eto yung rason why we founded a company na maging cpd provider. webinar. nag ok naman yung PRC sa modus operandi ng grupo  . seriously, we want to help our colleagues in the profession. we are planning to offer webinar packages at discounted price for them to earn their cpd units at the comfort of their homes :D
