"Kawawa naman si Manny, hope he gets the right adviser. I'll

try to help him by getting an appoint-ment and talk to him personally," ani Puentevella.

Naunang sinabi ni Citizens Battle Against Corruption Rep.

Translation: converted to peso that amount won't be easy to squander in gamefowl derbies. :D

but seriously...if Manny cannot stop his gambling he should save some money for legitimate business like real estate, mall, gym, construction...any business. those big time cockers don't just gamble. they have their own big businesses and other resources. why not build a sports center like that of Elorde's? have seperate account for gambling and for business. yan ay kung hindi siya maawat.

Namulubi ba si Jorge and Nene Araneta? Danding and Peping Cojuangco?, the late Manuel Lacson of Bacolod obtained all his wealth through cocking, Sonny Lagon became famous and rich through the same...and so is Patrick Antonio and the rest of the notable cockers who's names are too many to mention. Every breeder starts in what we call a humble beginnings such as the late Monching Mitra ...manny is unique among Fili Boxers...no Fili boxer is Like Manny in terms of financial rewards and blessings and with all the high quality fowls in his Arsenal he can take the best local cockers and breeders and other top caliber international cockers can offer...so don't be surprise if one day he may snatch the Cocker of the year title...we are all entitled to some bit of fun...Cockfighting is also a business... winning fights means increase of ur probable sales...keep winning and the demand of ur fowl in the market also increases and this means Profits...here in cockfighting business the very fowl u own can be the best that money, friendship and experience can obtain!

The Araneta's and the Cojuangco's are landed families. They are
super rich and can afford to gamble a few of their millions without reducing
a significant percentage of their wealth. Hobby or pasttime lang nila yan.
Peping owns about 6000 hectares of land, Danding a former crony of
Marcos..., coco levy fund, San Miguel beer ? These people are super rich.
2 million sa kanila barya lang.
Lacson of Bacolod are already wealthy even before they got hooked
to cockfighting.

Manny Pacquiao is not yet at the level of those super rich.
He is still young
and is not yet at the top of his game. He should concentrate in
boxing in order to gain more wealth and retire an accomplished
boxing superstar.

ya, bro. i hope he doesnt end up with nothing in the end. i know he's investing some of his money buying lands in gensan or in manila. but losing 2M in gambling is sobra na yata. anyway, he's campaigning for pensions for ex-boxing champions naman. baka in the end, he'll just have the pensions and lost all his millions. wag naman sana. puro negative na lang nababalita natin kay manny.

agree ako dyan. furthermore, though i agree that manny may be fooled by murrad, this is only a moral issue and not a legal one. therefore, i feel that manny should settle the issue outside the court by honoring the remaining fights with murrad if the case progressed adversely against him. swallow his pride, one step bakward two step forward principle. remember, shelly finkel is using manny's hard earned money to defray legal expense. poor manny.
and also i do not think that they will give up the case out of conviction until manny say so

Bro,
we are not against Manny getting hooked into cockfighting.
Roy Jones Jr. also breeds cocks. What we are against is gambling.
It was a concern of most fans here that gambling will bring Manny
to his financial downfall.
Malufet naman kasi katwiran mo pare. Para lang ma justify ang
gambling bigay ka ng example like the Cojuangcos and the Aranetas.
They are not of the same league as Manny.

Peace :)
