Mayol's seconds was partly to be blamed on that fight. It was Nino's fight adjustments that Mayol has no answer. His uppercut was the weapon which scared Nino but disappeared in the later rounds. If he keep throwing his hooks and upper cuts even if they were not landing much, his right straight followup had mostly hits the target. Mayol was taller, stronger and can take the Nino's best shots and not scared, why he did not go for a kill after the 3rd round? Where were the cornermen to help him decide?

I told you, biased judges or not , Mayol would still lose...that's the Pinoy jinx
Kung naging fair yung scoring baka na-knockout din siya sa bandang huli
Give it up, Pacquiao is the Last Pinoy Great LMFAO

We've lost two in a row now in Mexico. First Mepranum, now Mayol.

Casimero's next on the list to fight.. let's hope he breaks the unlucky streak.

Fights are won in the championship rounds, you won't win a decision if you can't close it out in the final rounds especially when your fighting away from home. Granted the scoring should have been closer but Mayol performed poorly in the last half and didn't deserve a win.

Now it shows how Filipinos fighters are known for their pathetic stamina like Banal, Morales, Viloria, Sonsona, etc. All Filipino fighters always wilt in the end. Mayol can't close out coz, like all Pinoy fighters, he don't have stamina. He can't get out of Omar's punches too because maybe he don't have a boxing IQ, he don't have a clue on how to win. Nino is smart enough on how to win it by rallying in the end, rallying in the championsip rounds in w/c Mayol thought he's not in a championship fight.

Remember Nino once said that he'll win it by UD wide margin & he did deliver.

Casimero is another KO victim. Philippines are known to have lousy fighters, all of them, with the exception of Pac obviously.

Nonito Jr. is an exception also. At least Donaire is still successful fighting bums. :D

It's unfair to call Nonito a bum, he's still a myth coz he hasn't fought anyone other than Vic w/ that lucky punch. I do agree that Nonito is an excellent fighter, he's better than any Filipino fighters like Diosdado Gabi.

I'm hoping Casimero makes quick work of Hirales on July 3rd.

Then we can all go and watch Casimero lose a boring decision against CaldeRUN ( ) in August. (Though I hope Casimero wins that one)

I don't argue that statement. Pacquiao worked so hard to get RP some global recognition. And the past efforts we've seen lately won't keep that recognition alive.

If guys like Melindo, Banal, Casimero, Sonsona, and others don't pan out. Expect the Philippine Boxing Scene to lose international recognition.
