No lateral movement...
stance still wide..

or maybe that is just his style (or ALA's)

yep, if it's from ALA it's same stance and same high waist shorts :)

maybe they need another trainer

Btw, ALA means like/alike?..... hmmmm

I guess it's acceptable considering that it's his first fight after a long rest due to injury. I hope he improves further.

Yes, he's impressive, considering he had just recovered from a wrist injury that could threaten his boxing career, and his two big loss abroad. This loss i believe still lingers at the back of his mind. At least he showed us he has the ability of rise up to the challenge and he stood up....let us support him in his future fights as well as other pinoy boxers who aspire to become world champion. I'd rather you reserve saying he was impressive on that fight as he was hit too many times and was visibly dazed by marbun's punches. If you watch the replay, the KD that was ruled a slip was really a KD. If it were a stronger boxer he'd be down and won't be able to continue the fight on that very early round.
We would all be impressed if his defense has improved because that can be improved, his chin's ability to take a punch can never be improved. We would all be impressed if he'd win convincingly on an elite fighter and not against a boxer whom Ciso Morales(where Boom edges in many departments) defeated.

Same old Boom2x and most likely the same result against top fighters. No improvements. No glories.

I´m impressed, but Don´t changes his offensive style. Let him do his go for a kill attitude. Don´t teacher him how to back pedal in the ring its not his style he will learned later how to go along the movement.

Only counter puncher can do that like gerry.

The overall performance wasn't that impressive really..But I was happy enough for him considering he is coming from a long layoff and a loss..I noticed that he improved his left hook and jab,he can use both hands now,and that was impressive since his left hand was the one injured right?
I still wonder why a lot of people don't like this kid..I mean,he is a good, young and exciting boxer..I would rather watch him fight than Z Gorres,Milendo and others..Maybe people before expected so much from him and are now just disappointed...

parang nilalahat mo ah.
just look at the posts here, we are not saying wala na talaga siyang pag-asa.
We are all just discussing what we find to be the things he needs or lacks.
Yes we aren't experts but we too can see and analyze what we see though not as in-depth as the experts, our conclusions are close to the experts' views.

Bautista's Left has been improve, but still his weaknesses like no head movement and foot work still no development. he should adopt Tyson's training regimen, this will improve his footwork, headmovement, and maybe improve his chin with those Tyson's Neck exercise. :D :D :D :D just my 2 cents. Good luck to Boom-Boom.
