From this news item, it appears that Pacman has not completely abandoned his political plans for May 2oo7. He merely clarified that he will focus first on boxing. Methinks he'll file for candidacy by the March 29 deadline, dispose of Jorge Solis and ride piggyback on the goodwill that will be generated by winning that fight. That's why he hasnt categorically confirmed to Mel Tiangco his withdrawal from this year's elections. Come to think of it, Pacman had personally trained his sights on an elective position as early as last year upon the constant prodding of Lito "Epal" Atienza.

Speaking of "Epal", he made it appear as if he made Pacman change his mind. Yeahright, Two-face. Had Pacman not been jolted by last Saturday's booing, he would not have come to his senses. Pacman's blank expression throughout the event had nothing to do with Epal's "convincing powers". Epal was all for Manny throwing his hat into politics so he shouldnt grab credit for Manny's change of heart. He may have been instrumental to Manny's initial success but he shouldnt capitalize on it over and over like what he's been doing. Pacman owes his success to himself, his family and to his countrymen. He doesnt owe Epal nor GMA nor FG anything anymore. They've already benefited from Pacman long enough and if they truly love this country, they can do a big favor by keeping their distance from Pacman and stop taking advantage of him. Epal will get his karma soon enough. Ali Atienza will lose, Epal will be relegated to a GMA bootlicker and by 2010 they'll all be forgotten, except for Pacman, who'll hopefully get his chance to be an honest public servant.

Manny should do endorsments instead of candidacy. He also get paid doing that. Besides, he is going to college.
