1.Philippines vs Korea in 2002 Asian Games Semifinals basketball - the one were Lee Sang Min hit th game winning 3 at the buzzer
2.Onyok Velasco's Olympic final match against Daniel Petrov Bujilov of Bulgeria.
3.Luisito Espinosa's loss to Israel Contreras in Araneta Coliseum
4.Django Bustamante's finals loss to Earl Strickland in 2002 World Pool Championships
5.Pacquiao loss to Erik Morales

These are the sports events that made me teary eyed...

I think you can count the humiliating defeat that Team Philippines suffered in the hands of the Chinese National Basketball team in the 1990 Asian Games where they lost by 41 points.. 8)

the late flash elorde's failed title bid for the lightweight championship against carlos ortiz. the whole filipino people was hoping that "bai" elorde would somehow pull an upset, but luck wasn't on elorde's side.

I remember this. Navarrete was countering Limon very sharply early on. Galing talaga. JMM ang dating. Then he got caught later with body shots. That's one of the earliest fights I saw the Philippine flag on display prominently in the ring in a fight in the US. Tapos talo.
