Kobe can have two NBA lifetimes and he still wouldn't be greater than MJ.

And this is coming from a Kobe fan.

If Jordan lives in this era, he wont get a championship, ring, MVP or scoring title because of kobe. he will just another michael redd or
michael finley, any other scorer that can't compete with the likes of lebron, Durant, and ofcourse lolong the great. ask the laker fanatics.

Go to NBA forum, read the Lakers thread , and you'll know what I'm talking about, there lots of members of kobeism in there.

he deserves it. but to put his name over MJ is completely bullcrap.

Last night against Houston Rockets was one of the reasons why.

congrats kobe, that is a big achievement indeed. you have only 41 players reaching 20,000 (NBA/ABA), 19 players reaching 25,000 points (ABA/NBA). to be able to reach 30,000 that takes years and years of excellence, drive, and commitment to be the best. kobe is one of the best players ever. i hate kobe, but even i have to acknowledge that he is indeed a great player.

kobe is #6 in total points and #10 in points per game. so it took him longer to get the #6 spots, this can be explained by coming in early, his first three years were all sub-20ppg years and that is because of his youth. beginning his fourth year, at age 22, he has averaged better than 22ppg. he has also average 25ppg or better in 12 of the last 13 years, a phenomenal feat. magaling talaga.

for reference here are the Top 10 PPG leaders:

NBA/ABA
Rank Player PPG
1. Michael Jordan* 30.12
2. Wilt Chamberlain* 30.07
3. LeBron James 27.58
4. Elgin Baylor* 27.36
5. Jerry West* 27.03
6. Allen Iverson 26.66
7. Bob Pettit* 26.36
8. Kevin Durant 26.27
9. Oscar Robertson* 25.68
10. Kobe Bryant 25.43
11. George Gervin* 25.09
12. Dwyane Wade 25.04
13. Karl Malone* 25.02
14. Dominique Wilkins 24.83
15. Rick Barry* 24.78

I agree..

You know what's really surprising? The fact that Lebron is only 27 and he's basically at 20K. In 4 1/2 years he'll be up there too at age 32.

Durant is already at 10K as well. Damn, some records wont last as long with players like this.
