His opponent doesnt have a chance to get even. Parang punching bag lang.
Yung hindi pa nag MMA at di nakakaranas makabogbog e madedisappoint talaga.
O kaya mong masikmura ang ganun.
There is no honor of winning that kind mismatch imo.

I admire his compassion and good sportsmanship. However, I think he tapped out too early. He should have scored at least 1 knock down before tapping out. How does Pantangco actually "know" that he is going to dominate his opponent if he hasn't scored 1 knock down or put him into a submission hold? Yes, it appears that Pantangco was going to win at the rate the fight was going but it was too soon to say. There have been plenty of fights where a guy is being dominated then out of nowhere throws a killer kick or killer punch and returns with a knockout. Pantangco may have generated world wide attention with this move but he's not going to win a lot of fights if he keeps tapping out while ahead on points. Probably once he starts getting paid good money, as opposed to nothing for this amateur fight, then he'll start knocking out opponents more often. But this just shows what good heart he has. This fight had the opposite effect of Roberto Duran's "No Mas" call against Sugar Ray Leonard in that Duran has been ridiculed while Patangco has been praised.

Dami niyo arte. Sikat siya ngayon sa ginawa niya.

Let's see how he does in his next fight. Maybe he will tap out for real because he is in trouble.

His opponent should be commended more for his bravery cause he did not quit rather than this skinny pino who thought he was really cute, cool and cuddly for doing that non-sense sh!t. --- :biglaugh:

good marketing strategy

"awa" tap-out better than a KO or dominating beat down win dahil sa novelty effect, now some main stream promoters are noticing him

good self-pomotion

He should not be in the MMA, he should be a priest instead. I hope nobody will bet money with this guy.

He probably is just a good kid. He is young and he will know later to toughen his heart. Pacman showed a lot of mercy himself in his past fights. Remember when he tried to help Diaz to get up because he mangled him? He felt sorry for him all beaten up. We can see the other kid wobbled. He had no skills brought in the octagon to win and ended like being a punching bag. He will be beaten black and blue. Mike did the right thing and his deed will probably pay off through sponsorship so he can continue to train and excel in martial arts / MMA.
