Statistically England has a little edge over France. But Historically, England is cursed, since the Beckham, owen, Rooney era.

I wish France to win this so they can say Olala olala to the English bullies

Belgium vs. France, next to Brazil vs. Belgium, is the most exciting match to watch. Both are riding high on their best wins so far to get to this stage. Just about even in any position. Make no mistake that Griezman, Mbappe and Giroud are inferior than Belgium’s strikers due to the fact it’s the team that scored the most goals at this point. I would say, the momentum is with the Red Devils’ side because of that morale boosting win over highly favored Brazil. I still maintain whoever win this semis match will win the World Cup. If this was the NBA, it would be the Western Conferemce Finals.

Both Belgium and France were eliminated in the quarter finals last World Cup 2014 by eventual finalists,Argentina and Germany respectively. Over the years, Belgium have significantly matured as a team and they stll parade the same roster. However, Belgium’s main edge are Lukaku’s consistency, De Bruyne’s playmaking and scoring threats, and the most important one, the one that really won them that thrilling game against Brazil, is goalkeeper Courtois’ near impossible saves. France’s goalie Hugo Lloris is no slouch himself but Courtois saves it better when it matters most. Mbappe is the latest infusion to France’s squad and he would be a constant threat to the opposition with his blistering attack in any given opening. Another huge factor for Belgium is Eden Hazard. The left winger whose dribbling skills have been responsible for most of his team’s possessions. He and De Bruyne’s playmaking create more dangerous chances for their team.

My prediction, 2-1 for Belgium.
