well, i'd shake his hand and congratulate him for a bravely fought bout, but taking my hat off to someone who was playing "head honcho" by taunting pac in the opening rounds??? nahhh... he deserved what he got! heck... i was surprised he didn't complain when the ref said "that's it..!"...

manny even hugged him TWICE and velasquez kinda didn't want manny around him..! well, after those blows, who could blame velasquez ;)

I loved Velasquez' Machismo in the ring! He is a respectable fighter.

Manny's speed factor made the difference in the fight.

I want Juan Manuel Marquez to mix it up with Hector "Tough Hombre" Velasquez!!!

Paz.

I see many "rabbits" released by HV during that fight :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

I also see bad looks after the bell and taunts taunts during the fight trying to intimidate Pac..But Pac just tries to touch his gloves and be friendly.

All in all it was a courageous show by HV. And a good 1st round for him too.

A match with JMM would be a bad fight for Velasquez. His punches aren't as fast. He'd be a perfect opponent for JMM, though. Marquez would just counter him all night long. It might turn into another 'Salido' fight I'm guessing.

Yeah, He fought very well and very clean too. No low blow, elbows or headbutting. Thanks for a good fight. Hector!!!

Thanks for Dr. Lou Moret too. He is very fair!

Except for when he got Manny in a headlock & threw like 4 or 5 little punches.

But all in all, I was expecting him to be a flat-out cheater, he wasn't. He showed heart & bravery, for that I respect him.

hats off to him! his heart got back up in the 6th but his mind was TKOd.

It was good fight. It would have been better for him if he didnt underestimated Manny. After the knockdown, he was overwhelmed and didnt want to taste another set of Manny's flurries. He had good chin, but no will to go the distance. Probably a wise decision in his part. It was a complete fight though. Hector did a great job winning the first round. Great fight, Hector! :)
