A month before the rematch, Freddie Roach said in an interview that
Erik Morales will have a hard time meeting the 130 lbs weight limit
during the weigh-in day before the fight. And whoever spied on the
Morales camp confirmed this report to Roach. And Pacquiao's Fight Plan
was finally completed with the finishing touches - Manny Pacquiao will
tire Morales out and wait for Erik's head to fall in the later rounds.

And that's exactly what happened.
Image
Weeks before the fight, Roach in an interview, said that Erik will terribly
diet himself to meet the 130 lbs weight limit.

And Roach also mentioned that after the weigh-in, Erik will immediately
try to regain his normal weight by eating normally but the food nutrients
wont be absorbed 100% by his body on fight night the next day. Team
Pacquiao theorized that Morales will tire easily thats why their fight plan
was to attack the body in the early rounds and if Erik becomes visibly
burned out and slow, implement an all-out attack as what happened in
the 6th round. In the early rounds, Manny invested by being hit first just
to hit Erik's body.

Roach in another interview mentioned, "I wont be surprised if Manny
knocks out Morales in the later rounds." And Roach made sure that
Manny implements the plan to the letter - tire now, knockout later.

If Erik decided to box all the rounds, he might have had more chance
to win the fight by decision. But im sure Pacquiao also have a Plan B if
Erik do boxed. If Freddie and Manny knew Erik will last the rounds, they
could have implemented a different fight plan. But they were sure Erik
will tire easily in the fight.
Image
So, Erik's excuses that he got tired is true because that was where
Team Pacquiao's fight plan was anchored. And Erik is blaming his
tiring out with the weight loss. Erik's father, Jose, in an interview, said
his son trained badly under his new trainer.

And that's also the reason why Manny will only fight Erik the third time
at 130 lbs. With Erik's big advantage in reach and height, Manny evens
up with speed, stamina and endurance. So now, Erik wanted to remove
more advantages of the Pacman by luring him to fight at 132.

Erik also reasoned out his brutal fights with the best there is in the past.
And if said in another way - Erik Morales is not the best fighter now
because he is already worn out.

And that message came out direct from the horse's mouth.

TIRING THE OPPONENT HAS ALWAYS BEEN PART OF ANY BOXERS FIGHT PLAN.

Its not a simple tiring out by Morales but a real bad burnout!

Manny got tired too, yes, but not as terrible as Erik. Manny was more
conditioned and got more stamina.

Weight loss + Manny's hard body & head punches = burnout = knockout!

Nice analysis.

I just like to add that Morales also struggled to make the weight in the first MP-EM fight but didn't offer excuses because he won.

This time Manny exploited the situation and tired him out by battering him in the four corners of the ring and all Morales wants to say: "I just got tired. Maybe it's my trainer. Maybe it's the new training camp. Maybe it's because I'm newly wed. Maybe it's the weight of the big gloves I wear to protect my brittle hands."

Poor Morales. He should be thankful he has Bob Arum as promoter and Fernando Beltran as manager. They are making all things happen for him...

Even in the lowest point of his life...
