Gerry will school Mares. Mares hasn't fought any fighter that as tough and as good as Penalosa.

Mares is a dangerous fighter .. but then again so was Johnny Gonzales.
I think Penalosa will prevail but it will not be a clinic because Mares is a
good fighter. Gerry may need another perfect shot to put this young,
skilled fighter down.

Mares is Nacho's fighter and his punch was profiled on Fox Sports Net show SportsScience.

They showed effect of a boxer's punch to the jewels (lo-blow). It might be on YouTube.

Lets go Jerry

If Nacho ends up training Oskee also in the same camp, Oscar may get personal with Mares and pick on him as a sparring partner

mares being young and too aggressive would prove to be his own downfall against gerry penalosa, the most skilled boxer to come out of the philippines (even freddie roach likes watching him box and he's amazed of his skills). people said mares' got power...well ponce de leon had power in abundance. gerry didn't even blink when ponce landed his power shots. this guy's chin is made of titanium steel.pair that with amazing technical skills and power and mares will have his work cut out for him.i reckon he's not ready for somebody like gerry penalosa.

my 2 cents

Mares is a tough fighter without a loss just like Boom2x and Banal was before fighting PDL and Conception respectively. Now it's Mares turn to follow their lead. Go Gerry...

In my opinion Gerry will give this kid a boxing clinic 101. :)

I agree on this one.
I beg to disagree, Gerry will lose to Split/UD if he will not throw more punch. :D

gabi have only 2 weeks preparation against mares in their previous match..

gabi attacked mares immediately and looking for a knockout bcoz he knows he wont last 12 rounds with mares bcoz of the lack of preparation.

its gonna be another "Gerry Penalosa Show" in Vegas

If he comes in very prepared like what he did on the Vorapin fight which I expect him to do there's no way he's losing, Gerry is tested Mares is not, I always pick the tested one.

It will be a boxing clinic, courtesy of Grandmaster Gerry!

Gerry Penalosa - the most talented boxer. That's how I see it. :D
