i checked juanma's records and most of his wins are via ko in the early rounds. i think that if gerry survives the early rounds, he will beat lopez via points (unless judges manipulate the scorecards).

who's with me on this?

Gerry is not good at winning by points either, specially if his opponent would just run around and box

You will be surprised that Gerry is one who will bulldozed Juanma and send Juanma to the canvass.

That could happen. I guess that was Gerry's team plan.

dont be conclusive bro. most of Juanma's wins are ko in early rounds but dont understimate his endurance. remember he's undefeated. but im still hoping you're right and gerry brings home the bacon!

Once Juanma realized that its hard to KO Penalosa then started to box using quick jabs with counter hooks using his speed and reach advantage then I dont expect Gerry can win on points. The only chance i see for Gerry to win this fight is a lucky punch (in case juanma rush in and look for an early KO then got careless). Gerry might last 12 rounds but the victory still favors Juanma. JUANMA IS NOT A ONE DIMENSIONAL FIGHTER.

yes. Gerry must indeed survive the first few rounds and engage in the later rounds. 8)

surviving the early rounds is not on gerry's gameplan but knocking lopez in the early rounds if opportunity shows is the plan. it would be lopez who need to survive the early rounds, since he will need the stamina in the later rounds.

This could be true. This fight is very explosive in early rounds. Both will look for early KO. If both fail then later rounds could go either way, who has more air left in the tank will win by KO.

I don't think Gerry would look for a possible KO in the early rounds.

If Gerry can't KO Juan Ma, even he's ahead on points. No way he'll win by decision. Hostile territory..deym!

He must do that otherwise he might suffer a hometown decision.
