That's because he don't mind losing on points as long as he don't get knocked out. He could be well behind on points and he won't put up a rally untill the very last round. By then his opponent have no reason to mix it up with him.

It's the end of the road for Gerry. JuanMa by KO in the first four rounds.

Gerry was knocked-down once in the early rounds for his then WBC superfly title defense against Korean
Young-Joo Cho (not to be mistaken with In-Joo Cho). He did win the fight by KO round 10.
