it's really exciting watching gerry, he's a very good technical boxer, although i scored the fight 7 rounds to 5 in gerry's favor, his work rate i think should be doubled to get the nod of the judges! 8)

gerry's poor work rate is his style........even when he was younger.........he lost many times in japan because of that too..........

there's no way gerry can double his work rate now.................... :(

Don't know why it's not Gerry-Monteil while infact Gerry is more skilled than Morales.

gerry won the fight no doubt!.....i've watch it twice and i still score 115-113 in favor of gerry....
that judge who scored 116-112 in favor of morel must be the one who suffered the impact of headbutts that gerry got from morel....

again....gerry won!!!

Guys, since I was a third year High School (1989) student, I was already following the sport of boxing, and I really know who really wins/loses fights. I know who wins/loses through robberies, and I also know that crystal clear Gerry Penalosa was really robbed.

What Morel did in his fight against Penalosa was running away so that he may survive.

Oh man, I thought you were already following the sport during Sugar Ray Robinson's time. :D

Naunsa man ka bai? Di diay ka kahibalo mo tan-aw ug boxing? Maybe Gerry took too much beating in the Lopez fight, but Gerry was the one dictating the tempo in his fight with Morel. Gerry's bruised face was done through the accidental head butts of Morel the runner.

No matter how many times I watched the stupid bout between Penalosa vs Morel, Penalosa WON. From round 7 to 12 it was Penalosa's rounds all the way. Morel knows he didnt win, thats how a fight goes when stupid judges were around.
