Watching Jerry box the other day was a treat...imagine if he will maintain that kind of offense or bitter it with his defense...wow i don't think PDL will get a decision on their rematch...

Jerry is the man.... :D

Gerry's offensive work rate in many rounds was the highest I've seen in him in so many years. That may be due in part to Vorapin's style (Gerry does not have to look for him all that much). If Gerry can maintain that offensive work rate in future fights and find ways to do so regardless of the opponents' styles, he'd get a lot more fan attention than he already has, not to mention having much better chances of getting the judges' nods, should his future fights go to the score cards as the PDL meeting did.

Gerry is 35 years old but when its him on the ring....it is not like his age...he fights like a young man with good strength and energy.

I even see a Leonard-like punches. 35 years of age is like a promise. A promise to stay healthy and strong as Gerry does. Age is not important if you really believe in yourself not the other way around. Freddie Roach scores the fight a perfect 10 for Gerry, Daniel Ponce De leon must get past Juan Manuel Lopez or the dream of getting a rematch might get deem.

There are options for Gerry , he can fight the younger Marquez or try to ask Israel Vasquez for a title shot or he can fight Juan Manuel Lopez if he defeat DPL in June 7, 2008.

Let's see guys!

Finally saw the Vorapin fight on youtube. Thanks to those that took the time to upload into youtube. :D :)

Gerry's like a great surgeon, very precise with his timing/punches, and able to evade most attacks. Nice to see that Gerry's finally getting his due, even at this age. I think he's got all of this year, and maybe all of 2009 to really leave a lasting legacy.

I really hope he gets a couple of meaningful fights soon. 8)

Yes, I think so. He just do what he does against Vorapin. Gerry does need another Tokuyama or In Joo Cho. The like of DPL, Rafael Marquez, and Israel Vasquez might give his style JUSTICE.

Last 3 fight? The answer is above.

Today, NO other Filipino Pro boxer that is near Gerry in terms of skills the way I see it. Maybe Nonito is next but still Gerry is way ahead.

GP is very much like JMM already.

Parehas na counter puncher na kailangang maging aggressive na rin.

Roach had a lot to do w/ his transformation, and this is a strategy they've very well inculcated in GP since that loss to Ponce de Leon.

I think the work rate showed by GP versus Vorapin is not surprising since he really knows he can handle Vorapin because he knocked him out before.
